What is the hostel fee at IPU?

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's annual hostel cost is INR 29,500. Mess and welfare fees are not included in the hostel fees. The fee for the mess is INR 36,000, while the cost of the welfare is INR 3,000. Candidates need to submit three demand drafts: one for hostel fees, one for mess charges, and one for welfare charges. Two hostels are maintained on campus for male students, and two are maintained for female students. There are more than 180 single-seat rooms in each hostel. Basic furnishings such as a cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube lamp, and fan are provided in each room. Mess facilities are available for residents in each hostel. It has nice faculty, no placements, but very good infrastructure.

Placements: I studied B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology from VMMC & SJH and I must say the college is the best. However, it does not provide placements, but we can work there on a contract basis through some companies and the pay is different for contract staff and permanent staff members. The salary offered varies between Rs. 20,000-80,000 per month. Overall, it has the best teachers and doctors to learn from. It provides great exposure as it is one of the largest government medical colleges in India.

Infrastructure: Everything in the college with respect to the infrastructure is very good and well-furnished. Labs are fully functional and all kinds of modalities and tests are offered at very low prices which is a benefit for students and patients both.

Faculty: Teachers are doctors. They are very experienced, well-behaved, and knowledgeable. Doctors from across India come here and they only teach us. The technician also teaches us. Exams are also not very difficult.

Other: The campus life is not as good as it's supposed to be, as seen in other colleges. Our college life is also missed.

This college provides me good opportunities in the industries.

Placements: In our college, above 50% students gets placed in different private companies. In our college, the highest package was 4 lacs, the lowest was 2.75 lacs, and average package was 3–4 lacs. The top recruiting companies was Dr Lal Pathlabs, Apollo, etc. In our course, almost 90% students get internship in some of local labs. The top role offered was lab technician.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure were awesome at our college. The college campus was well furnished and well maintained. In classrooms and labs, everything was fully equipped with instruments. The quality of the hostel food was tasty and healthy. Medical facilities were also available on campus. Indoor and outdoor sports grounds were also available.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers teaching quality was on the rise because they made everything easier for us. The course curriculum was also relevant to our course and its practical knowledge was definitely helpful to prepare us for industry. Semester exams were not too tough to pass in our college. The passing percentage was around 90–95%.

The college offers good quality learning and faculty to the students.

Placements: Very few students get placed in our course at this college. Most of the students get placements on campus. Around 60-65% of the students get internships through the college. The average package offered was between 2-4 LPA. Top recruiters in the college were labs and hospitals for the roles of laboratory technicians and assistants.

Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure for our course. Students are given all kinds of facilities required for this course. The college has its own labs for student practice. Other facilities like Wi-Fi, canteen, hostel, library, and sports are also provided by the college management to the students.

Faculty: The faculty of our college is experienced in the field of medicine and teaching. They give students all kinds of necessary knowledge, conducting various practical classes for student practice. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. IPU CET exam 2026 application forms for other courses, open tentatively in March every year. Apart from conducting IPU CET, GGSIPU also accepts several national-level entrance exams to provide admission to a few undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.

Q: Can I get direct admission in GGSIPU?

No, GGSIPU doesn't offer direct admission. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agencies to grant direct admission to any of the courses of the university.

Q: Can we get admission to IPU through CUET?

Yes, GGSIPU accepts CUET scores. For UG courses, CUET-UG and similarly for the PG courses, CUET-PG is applicable. However, it must be noted that preference is given to CUET scores after the respective national-level exams and the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. Some of the UG and PG programmes for which this entrance score is accepted are MCA, MA, BSc, BBA and allied programmes, BPharm, BCom (Hons), etc.

Review of North Delhi Municipal Corporation Medical College and Hindu Rao Hospital.

Placements: Our batch has 30 students. This is a government college. It does not provide placements for this course. No company comes for placements. Our college provides a 6-month internship in their hospital. Medical lab technician role is provided after graduation.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available only for staff members. Classrooms are good with lights, fans, and cross ventilation. Library has two floors, and the best part is the library's balcony. A laboratory is present in every department like pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology. Hostel is not available for MLT students. Hostels are for MBBS and nursing students. Our college has two messes. Both serve food good in quality and taste. The canteen is not available. Medical facilities are provided. Sports and games are not available.

Faculty: Staff members are highly educated. Teachers are qualified with MBBS, DNB, Ph.D., M.Sc. They are helpful and teach well. They make students industry-ready. The course is moderate. Overall, you can cover the syllabus. The pass percentage is 50%.

Other: I chose this course beacuse it plays a very significant role in hospitals. Without diagnosis, doctors never do treatment of patients. Washrooms should be clean, and the elevator should be new. The hostel should be provided to B.Sc. MLT students also. Many students come from far distances. Fests happen once a year. The best part of this college is the fest that happens every year. The campus is situated near the Delhi University North Campus. Scholarships are provided to students with 60% marks. Extracurricular activities are not held.

Best medical college in Delhi with experienced faculty members.

Placements: As of now. Our college is not providing placements to our course B.Sc. . (medical laboratory technology) There are no recruiting companies visit at all. Students have to apply by self for internships from our course in various companies and hospitals.

Infrastructure: Our college is having a good infrastructure with advanced laboratories having new technology machines. Our college is now equipped by new smart ours for playing PPT's and 3d videos to understand medical mechanism Whole college is centralized air conditioned with anatomical museums, direction halls and labs.

Faculty: Our teacher are very well qualified, knowledgeable and helpful because all our professors are doctors and laboratory technologist. Our semester exam are not so difficult they held by our affiliated university indraprastha university, dwarka. Delhi .

More focused on treatment and less on students and their life.

Placements: As of now, there is no placement cell in our college so you are on your own after college and the condition is very worse as they openly state that there isn't any placement cell and we don't even get any internship and the courses that have internship except MBBS arent paid.

Infrastructure: There are good classrooms and well-equipped library but the conditions of the hostel is not good and there is no space for extracurricular activities, not even a park or a ground for students to play in, not even an auditorium, not even a room for students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable and teaching is good all together. There is no course curriculum provided by the college, the one provided by university is followed which was last updated in 2010 and has been same ever since.

This college provides great opportunities.

Placements: There are no placements, but you can join contract-basis agencies (SAI in Safdarjung) with the help and guidance of the faculty members and alumni for jobs that will pay you around Rs. 20,000 per month. Student should do an internship known as Lab Postings along with their classes. But students do not get paid or receive any kind of stipend for this internship, but we get to learn many things and with the help of these postings, we become industry-ready. Students get certificate for internship at the end of the course along with the degree.

Infrastructure: Our library is fully air-conditioned, and you can go for self-study there. Our classrooms are also air-conditioned, and also the whole college building is air-conditioned. All the classrooms have smart boards and are well-furnished. There is an annual sports event named VMMC-Premier League where students can take part in many indoor, outdoor and e-games. There are dance and drama societies in our college. There is a particular website for MLT students.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful and supportive. Most of our teachers have completed their Master's and all of them are senior residents and qualified doctors. There are plenty of faculty members in every department. We give annual university exams. Every year, there are 2-3 internal assessments, and the marks of internal assessments are added to our mark sheet. Even if you are an average student, you can pass the exams if you start studying just 1-2 months before the exams.

It is the best college for this course. It is a huge campus with an amazing infrastructure.

Placements: In the medical field, there are no placements offered to any students. Here in VMMC, students have lab postings in which they work as interns, and they get an internship certificate for a 6-month internship. Students can use their internship certificate as experience in jobs. After completing the course, a student can work as a laboratory technologist, medical superintendent, etc., in various hospitals and laboratories.

Infrastructure: The college building is fully air-conditioned and there are central air conditioners on every floor, in lecture halls, hostel rooms, and in the library. There are various Wi-Fi routers installed in various locations across the campus, like on each floor, the hostel, mess, and the library. Labs are fully equipped with the latest technology. There are various canteens across the campus, and the food is very cheap and tasty. The mess is very delicious and cheap. The quality of mess food is also good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are excellent and well qualified. Teachers here are very helpful and cooperative. They never refuse or say no to any student asking doubts or queries. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant and the knowledge given here is enough for students to survive further in the industry. Semester exams are moderate. If a student studies enough, he/she can easily pass.

Other: The medical field is one of the most respectable fields in the world. I chose this course because it has a huge availability of jobs and this medical college is ranked third in India. The best thing about our course is that it is a professional course, and with this, we can diagnose a patient with a disease and save a life. Things that can improve this course are by making this course more important because many students don't even know what MLT is.
