Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) BTech course of four-year duration is offered across 15 specialisations. Apart from the four-year BTech course, students can also take direct admission to the second year through Lateral Entry. There are two additional courses which are offered in collaboration with IBM. HITS BTech Curriculum
The students have to study common subjects, such as physics, mathematics, and more in the first year irrespective of chosen specialisation. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech programmes of HITS must have the required educational qualifications. The aspirants who are Class 12 pass with at least 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects can apply. Additionally, the minimum aggregate for reserved categories is 45% aggregate. Moreover, to get in the BTech (Lateral Entry) courses, aspirants must have a Diploma with at least 50% aggregate in Engineering/Technology. In addition, the graduates with at least 50% aggregate in Science and Mathematics as one of the main subject can also apply for lateral course. Candidates must hold the relevant documents for admission as well.
Hindustan University offers a four-year BTech course. Apart from this students can also get direct admission to the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry. The university offers two additional subject options in collaboration with IBM. At Hindustan University, the curriculum of the course is designed in such as way that it helps students to get both theoretical and practical learning, which get possible with the help if Funded Research Projects and many industrial collaborations. HITS Chennai BTech admission process shall commence with the release of HITSEEE application. The application form has to be submitted before the deadline. Hindustan University admit candidates to the BTech courses based on merit in HITSEEE. This entrance test is conducted by the university in online mode every year.
