IIITM Gwalior BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. IIITM Gwalior BTech courses are offered in three specialisations i.e., Mathematics & Scientific Computing, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. The institute offers BTech courses in three specialisations. Additionally, the university also a five-year integrated BTech + M.Tech courses for the duration of over five years. The basic eligibility criteria required by the candidates to get admission into BTech courses is they must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with a minimum aggregate of 75%.
Additionally, the selection process for these courses is based on candidates' relevant scores in JEE Mains, followed by JoSAA counselling. Foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission to BTech courses via DASA UG.
IIITM Gwalior offers a four-year BTech course at the undergradate level. IIITM Gwalior admission to the BTech course usually starts in the month of March-April after the JEE Mains exam result declaration. The final selection is based on the JEE Mains scores followed by JoSAA counselling. The centralised JoSAA counselling process for offering admission to BTech is done through online mode. Selected candidates have to further report at the institute to complete formalities for admission confirmation.
Currently, IIITM Gwalior has not released the commencement date of BTech classes for new sessions i.e., 2025. However, according to the previous year's academic calendar. The classes for BTech courses have been started in the month of July. Hence, for this year the classes might begin on similar dates to the previous batch.
NTA will announce the JEE Main 2026 exam date for session 2 in November. JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam will likely be held in the first week of April. JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration will start in February first week. The JEE Main Application Form 2026 session 2 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted in January last week.
Securing 75% in Class 12 is the minimum eligibility criteria that IIITM Gwalior requires for admissions to BTech courses. This does not specify that candidates with 75% scores can get admission to BTech courses because applicants must meet several eligibility conditions. One of the most crucial requirements for potential applicants is a legitimate JEE Main score. To get admission into BTech courses at IIITM Gwalior, candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria first, followed by secondary eligibility criteria.
