It is improving itself by hiring more companies, But it doesn't allow some students who are selected in one company to sit in another company's placement process.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

College is good, but very much decent.
Placements: Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are quite good, especially for Computer Science and ECE students. Big names like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and even Amazon visit the campus, with average packages around 6-7 LPA and top offers going above 20 LPA. The placement cell is supportive, but students need to put in their own effort with coding, internships, and projects. Non-CS branches also get placed, though they might need to explore IT roles or off-campus options.
Infrastructure: The hostel provides three-seater and four-seater rooms, with the possibility of single rooms for students maintaining a CGPA above 8.0 from the second year onward. While the hostels are generally clean, some students express concerns about the age of the buildings and the quality of the mess food.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good at teaching. They conduct quizzes and also give assignments to students so that they can perform well in the future. The vibe is modern, practical, and driven. You’ll be surrounded by people who are curious, motivated, and ready to build cool stuff. If you're into tech and want to learn by doing, while being guided by faculty who care, IIIT Bhubaneswar is a solid place to grow.
Other: I chose this course because I am not getting any other college. This is the only one I am getting.

B.Tech. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2023

Very good placements, infrastructure, and environment.
Placements: For computer engineering branch batch 2023, 98% of the students got placed with 60% for internships as well. The highest package was 20 LPA. The lowest salary was 6 LPA. The average salary was around 8.5 LPA - 9 LPA. The top recruiters were Oracle and Siemens (both 18 LPA) where 30% of the students were placed, and Dell (8.5 LPA). Many in my course were placed with a double-digit package. Top roles offered were software developer and data analyst. Placement cell efforts were commendable and provided a helping hand in case to a few unplaced students even after they passed out of college in getting them placed.
Infrastructure: Classroom infrastructure was good and well-designed. Library was good with plenty of books. Labs were average. There was lack of proper equipment. Sports/games facilities were good on campus, and tournaments were conducted regularly. Campus good for walking and relaxing. Hostel was not that bad to live if maintained well. But there was a separate well-built hostel for meritorious students if they opt to live there. Mess food quality was not worth the price paid. Canteen food was a better option. Wi-Fi or internet facilities were not very good on the campus probably due to the college being situated in a bit of outskirts location.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members were good but some were average. Teachers were qualified and helpful for sure but lacked a bit of quality teaching and engaging students well. Course curriculum for my batch was quite irrelevant for the first 2 years, and students had to purely rely on self-efforts to be industry-ready. Semester exams had a good standard of question papers, prepared well, and you passed. But few subjects might be a bit difficult. Pass percentage was usually 98-100% but for difficult subjects it could be 85-90%.
Other: Being an information technology university, the computer science and IT courses were better here and the placement scope was also good. It would be better if the college management prepared the students to be industry-ready by making them do more practical implementation of the subjects then the results would be even better. Events, fests, campus surroundings, and extra-curricular activities were good. Scholarships were provided as well for meritorious students.

At last, I can say that it is a decent college if you need to get a good placement.
Placements: According to the statistics, more than 80% of students got placed on various companies. Also recently a 3rd year student got a internships of 2 Lakh per month in a good company. Placements are decent also good if you are skilled. College provides decent placement facilities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very good. Laundry facilities and other food facilities are good. Comparatively, it's a better college. Sports facilities are decent. The best thing is we only have a single ground for both football and cricket which is a little bit difficult.
Faculty: Semester exams are simply cool and everyone can easily attempt them if they attend their classes regularly. Course curriculum for every branch is simply decent and also includes every subject of the semester with respect to their credit. Overall fee may be a bit high.
Other: Fests are regularly conducted in our college but the thing is no one knows about the fests which is a bit bad.

College is good. I think it could be better in the future.
Placements: From the 5th semester, students will become eligible for campus placements. DE Shaw, Dell, Oracle, and Infosys are the different recruiting companies. The highest package is 42 LPA and the average is 10 LPA. Almost 90% of students got placed. DE Shaw and Dell offer software development and pay a stipend. The stipend is for 3 months and we need to work for 3 months in the summer time. The projects are related to app development and some electronics and electrical inventions.
Infrastructure: Hostel is decent, but it is little old. A room consists of three people. Rooms have one light, three fans, beds, tables, chairs, and almirahs provided individually. The meal quality of mess is pretty decent. It is edible sometimes it's good and the menu has now improved.
Faculty: The curriculum is very old, no new things are taught. The things that are taught now have no use in the future or in our personal growth that can ensure a good experience for the future. The teaching method is very bad. Faculty members are less. Faculty members are easily approachable and a good relationship can be established. Some faculty members are good but the rest don't teach properly. There are four exams two quizzes one mid-sem and end-sem. Some portions of curriculum are relevant whereas some are not. Subjects like DSA, DBMS, and operation systems are important for our career but some subjects like chemistry and mechanical engineering are not that useful but still curriculum is average.
Other: There is sports ground. Hostel gate closes at 9:30 PM. Library closes at 8:00 PM. Nescafe is available inside the campus. Food stalls are available outside the campus. It is safe to roam around at night both inside and outside of the campus.

Review of International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Almost 85% of students placed in our course in different companies. The highest package is 25 LPA and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA in the year 2024. Top recruiting companies of our course are Qualcomm, Oracle, etc. About 50% of students got internships in DE Shaw and Big Binary.
Infrastructure: In my course, we have almost all labs. Most labs are available each semester to get well practical and understanding. There are many digital classrooms to understand topics easily.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Most faculty members are highly qualified. They have done their PhD from top colleges like IITs and NITs. The course curriculum is very relevant and it is very useful for the students to become industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult and some exams are moderate. Faculty members are highly qualified and the academics are very good.
Other: Nowadays software has huge competition and everyone is choosing it so I preferred electronics. This course also has huge demand in both sectors like software and hardware. The infrastructure of the campus would be better. An event called Advaita is organised every year which is a huge event of the college.

Satisfied because of hostel but dissatisfied with faculty members.
Placements: In our course, almost 90% of students got placed but most of them have less than 10 LPA salary packages. Rest either didn't get placed or chose to pursue higher studies, like MBA or M.Tech, etc. Top role that is offered in our course is software engineer.
Infrastructure: Our hostels are not that great but also not that bad. We have Wi-Fi for each block and floor. We have a reading room but in college building also we have a library. The quality of food is average. Gym and medical doctors are provided inside the campus. Doctors are only available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for every day.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful but some of them are not that helpful. Some teachers teach very well and also help with good guidance. Course curriculum is relevant. It does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are average but some teachers make the papers hard. Overall, it's average.
Other: The best about my course is its core branch which has more number of placements. The best thing about our course is it teaches what really life means. I don't think anything else needs to improve in our course. There are a lot of cultural activities and there is always something happening in the college.
