The college is very good, but it is a bit expensive.
Placements: 45 percent of the students got placed from our course of civil engineering, the highest package is 20.9 LPA, and the lowest is 3.90 LPA. L&T, Brain, BCG, and Google are some of the companies that recruit students from college, most roles are software developer and consultant.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is mediocre, not very good, but it's okay for the placements. Wi-Fi is good, labs are old but are good enough, library is top-notch, classrooms for 1st year are amazing, but for the following three years, classrooms are okayish, hostels are quite old for 1st year, but are like a hotel for 4th year.
Faculty: The teachers are quite qualified, but most of the students study by themselves from books, so it's hard to understand the lessons from the teachers. The course curriculum is quite relevant and good for industry exposure. The semester exams are easy, not very hard.
Other: I chose this course because I want to build things that civil engineering allows me to do, so the course is still a little bit old-fashioned, even after much improvement, a little correction is needed. Events and fests are very good, a huge amount is funded for the fests and events. We enjoy the college campus in the middle of Chandigarh, and the campus surroundings are very good. Extracurricular activities are also encouraged.

It may not be someone's dream college, but it has the best crowd.
Placements: In the civil engineering branch, placements are very average with a package ranging from 8-10 LPA. The college is known for its internships and is highly focused on giving internships in the 3rd year. The internship pattern can be given in the 4th year, but that's fine too, because the 9th semester internship and 10th semester placements are fine.
Infrastructure: Our college has highly equipped labs, as some civil engineering labs have 10 lakh worth of machines. Wi-Fi is super good. The library is one of the best I have seen. For the hostel, I would rate it 2 out of 5 for 1st year. The condition gets better till the 4th year. We have 3-4 grounds and a gym.
Faculty: In the first year, we get to have relatively CG-like percentile stuff, which makes it hard but super important to get a good CGPA in the first year. The course curriculum is well-designed, circulated, and easily available. Teachers are very well-qualified and very friendly to talk with.

Good college, but needs more improvement.
Placements: Placement-wise, the college is decent, as in 2024, around 40% got placed with an average of around 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. Top roles for placed students are in non-core areas like SDE, but the majority go for higher studies or government jobs.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is decent, as we have average-sized rooms, but the poor bathrooms and mess are not so good. Other facilities like Wi-Fi and the library are great, though. Sports and medical facilities are also available in the college, which is great. But overall, we have average infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers, professors and assistants are well educated as everyone got Ph.D. from IITs, NITs, and they're also very helpful. In terms of our course, we have a relevant syllabus, but one needs to get other skills outside of the course. Exams here are tough, though, and one needs to study hard to pass.

PEC Chandigarh: An honest review.
Placements: According to some news that I have heard, the average package of the college this year is around 16 LPA-17 LPA. CSE has an average of 20 LPA-23 LPA, and Civil has an average of 12 LPA-14 LPA, which is far better than most of the colleges ( equivalent to top NITs). All the big companies out there come to our college for on-campus job offerings. Top recruiters in my field would be L&T, AECOM, etc. Mainly from the civil branch, students choose to go for GATE or ESE. Around 40-60 percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The campus is super well-designed and fully equipped with all kinds of technology, such as Wi-Fi, a projector, AC, etc. Some labs are old. All the labs are completely ready for all kinds of experiments. There is a SEIMENS lab having machines of Rs. 200 crore. There is a ECE lab made by the government. Of India. There is a semiconductor research lab, worth crores of rupees. All academic things are top-notch. Hostels are average, not really that good. Mess isn't good either.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They are highly professional. But they can't really teach very well. There is a communication gap between students and professors, not for all professors. Teaching quality is great, like that of an NIT. The curriculum is fit for industrial growth. Semester exams are hard. But not too much. Above-average difficulty pass percentage is 90-95 percent.
Other: This was the best course I was getting as per my JEE rank. The best thing about my course is that it's something that AI can never replace. And it's highly demanding always. There are a lot of government jobs in it. I wish the college had fewer seats for the Chandigarh state quota. 50 percent of all students are from here only. Other than that, I want the fee to be much lower (being a government institute). About all other things, they are absolutely great.

I would summarise that overall, this college is pretty decent, better than most private colleges.
Placements: 50 percent of students are placed. The average package is 10.8 LPA, the lowest package is 3.6 LPA, and the highest package is 20 LPA. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Apple recruit. 60 percent of students got internships. A junior consultant role is offered. Internship companies include Goldman Sachs, and the average stipend for an internship is Rs. 10,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good, labs and classrooms are also good, but they lack air conditioning. The library is great. We don't have microphone facilities in classrooms. 1st year hostel is bad. Mess is also below average. Medical facilities are good, sports and games are great.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable and the teaching quality is great. The course is perfectly relevant, since I am in my first year, I don't think it will make me industry-ready but I think it will in further semesters. The difficulty of the semester is perfect and the pass percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of further government job opportunities in the civil engineering department. The best thing is that it is an evergreen branch, its need never vanishes. There is nothing I think should improve. Events are okay, fests are excellent, and extracurricular activities are also nice.

As of now, JEE Mains does not take into account the 12th marks in deciding the rank although it is needed for admission. So you may have 92-93 percentile to clear the cutoff.

The college has its high reputation in terms of civil engineering. The faculties of civil engineering department has high amount of expertise and moreover, civil is the oldest branch of this college. So, overall, it is a good college for civil engineering but only the placements are 80%.

You can take admissions in PEC after 12th on the basis of merit list of JEE Mains. I don't think there are intake after Diploma. But you can still check the site - www.pec.ac.in.
