It's a good college in Mysore for engineering.

Placements: My college has good placements in Mysore, and around 60 to 70% of the students get placed every year. Decent packages are offered for all students, ranging from 4.5 to around 55 LPA. Many good companies visit the campus for recruitment, and I am really satisfied with the placement.

Infrastructure: Our college is spread over in one or two acres, which is a massive area for our infrastructure. The new buildings have amazing throat. This year, it is one of the best campuses in Mysore with all types of facilities, including well-equipped libraries, playground and labs with the latest equipment.

Faculty: All the faculty members in our department are well-trained to teach the students, and also have experience. They also provide personal attention to the students who are lagging behind in the syllabus. The exams held here are in a very strict manner, and the course is pretty good.

I strongly prefer this college.

Placements: Around 80% of students were placed in mechanical engineering. Major companies like Collins aerospace, bosch, benz, visit our campus to recruit the students in the campus. No need to worry for placements as the department of placement and training give their best for achieving good future for the students.

Infrastructure: Our college has a large area of 102 acres of big campus. It has many grounds for sports and outdore games. A good laboratory infrastructure has been provided for all labs in the college. A gym is also freely available for students in the campus. Also there are canteens which provide healthy food.

Faculty: All the teachers of our college are well experienced. According to my knowledge teachers of all branch teach well. Apart from academics, teachers will help us in other and personal issues as well. Exam system has been specially designed for good scoring and better understanding to students.

Other: I chose this course (M E) because this was the only course I was eligible for. I blindly chose this college as it is a very prestigious college which offers good placements.

Review of JSS Science and Technology University.

Placements: I was not eligible for campus placements since evening college students are not allowed to participate. But the day college students have the opportunity to attend, from last few years we saw a decline in numbers of non-CS or IT students getting selected. But for IT sector jobs, any branch student can attend and get a job easily.

Infrastructure: The campus is huge with greenery all around and has a good atmosphere since this is in Mysore. The library is huge and has enough space every time I visit. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college so there are no issues. The campus is situated in the heart of the city, just 1 km away from top malls, cinema theatres, etc. The food facilities on the campus are very average. Sports facilities are great as the college has all types of sports courts.

Faculty: Teachers are not that great, and we need to study ourselves if want to get great marks. As we all know, apart from CS or IT all the other branch subjects are outdated, so don't expect much here. If you are going to join CS or IT, this is one of the best colleges in Karnataka.

Campus life is excellent here.

Placements: Only 2-3 students get placed in top companies from our college. Remaining students have to wait for a long time to get placed. If they don't get placed, they opt for off-campus placements. Students are blackmailed by saying that they will be blacklisted if they don't attend every placement interviews. I think students have to be provided with a choice to attend or not.

Infrastructure: Our campus is best in Mysore, and none of the other colleges can meet its standards. The hostel is excellent, but the food served in the hostel can be improved. Wi-Fi facility is provided but not given access to students properly. Every student pays money every year for Wi-Fi, but it is not provided. Our college is doing a scam in this case.

Faculty: Our college claims that the mechanical department is the best in terms of faculty members, but I feel faculty members can be more student-friendly. Except for 1-2 lecturers, all lecturers are kind and supportive of students. They should increase their interaction with students, and they have to interact with all the students instead of selecting a few.

The college provided average placements in the academic year 2019-20.

Placements: Around 50% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 45,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top recruiting core companies like Robert Bosch, Schindler, Lam Research and L&T visited our campus for placements. Top roles, like research and development, are offered by Robert Bosch. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA by Schneider Electric. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA by L&T. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Only a few students got an internship. Maybe around 2-5% of the students got an internship in companies like Aurigo, TE Connectivity, Bosch and Schneider Electric.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really good. Classrooms are well maintained and well furnished. All the classrooms are equipped with projectors. The college provides a Wi-Fi facility. Labs in our course are not good and not well maintained. Library facility is really good, and also there is a reference hall where you can access a different kind of books. The college also provides a digital library where you can access different journals. The infrastructure of the hostel is good, but the food served is really bad.

Faculty: All the teachers who take up subjects are well qualified. Even some of them are graduated from IITs, but not all of them teach well. Some teachers really teach good, but some are bad at teaching, and some are even worse. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready.
