Review of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (Kalasalingam University).
Placements: There were 100% placements during our period. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Zifo R&D, Byju's, Entrusted Medical Devices and HealthWatch. Most of the students got an internship in Phoenix Biomedicals, Ababil Healthcare, Niranjan Ultrasound, and one student did a semester abroad.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like Wi-Fi campus, dedicated labs for all the courses separately and a very big library are provided here. They have e-library where students can browse through internet in the library, and all kinds of books are available in the library. Record copies of the project from all departments will be available for students referrals. We can play any game in the evening. We have a gymnasium, and moreover, classrooms are air-conditioned.
Faculty: Staff members here are very supportive and very much dedicative. If we ask any doubts regarding the subject, then they spend their valuable time telling us the whole concept again. They provide e-materials, books, referrals and PowerPoint presentations in classrooms. They make each individual ready for the industries.
Other: I have chosen this course because it seems a new and different course, and I always wanted to learn something new, so I preferred biomedical engineering.

I'm absolutely satisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: 70% of students get placed. The highest package is 50 LPA offered by Nutanix, and the average package is 4.50 LPA. The recruiting companies are Amazon, IBM, Dell, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Range, Renault-Nissan, Apollo Tyres, General Electric, L&T, Cognizant, HCL, Accenture, and Capgemini. The roles offered are product engineer, medical device engineer, quality assurance/regulatory affairs, R&D intern/engineer, and graduate engineer trainee (G.E.T.). Many students also take up software/IT roles where applicable skills align.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is average in labs and classrooms, but better in the hostel. The library is excellent, while the classrooms and labs are decent. The hostel provides Wi-Fi and laundry services. The mess food is okay, but the canteen food is better with multiple options. Medical facilities are very good, offering free consultations and medicine through the campus hospital, which also serves the public. Sports and games facilities are well-developed, especially for boys, while girls have fewer options. Girls are not allowed to go out and can only go home during holidays. Overall, the infrastructure and basic amenities are satisfactory.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and possess good subject knowledge. Overall, the teaching quality is excellent and supports student learning. The course curriculum is relevant and moderately aligned with industry needs, helping students build a foundation and practical skills. However, more focus on hands-on training and industry exposure would further enhance industry readiness. The semester exams are moderately difficult, not too hard or too easy, making them manageable for students who attend classes regularly. The overall pass percentage is quite high, around 90%, which reflects effective teaching and student support.
Other: I took this course because of my interest. In my course, the competition is less, and have more core placements. Events and fests are okay.
