MAKAUT offers a three-year BSc programme spread across various specialisations. Any student who has passed Class 12 from a recorgnised board of education is eligible to apply for BSc courses at MAKAUT. Moreover, the students seeking admission to the aforementioned course would be required to have a valid CET (conducted by MAKAUT) score.

MAKAUT is affiliated with around 40 colleges; the total number of seats offered in the colleges and university is around 6,670. From which only two colleges offer the highest number of BSc seats. MAKAUT offers several need-based, merit-based and category-based scholarships to the students. Some of these include Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Aikyashree - Minority Scholarship, Kanyashree Scholarship, Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government Merit cum Means Scholarship, Scholarship to SC, ST and OBC students (Select North 24 Parganas as District), State government. Sponsored stipend under Talent Support Programme, National Scholarship Portal, Minority Scholarship, GATE Scholarship, PMSSS J&K Scholarship, etc.

MAKAUT University accepts both merit and entrance based exam scores. The university conducts CET exam in June for admission to courses such as BSc, MSc, BBA and BCA courses. MAKAUT conducts JEMAT for admission to MBA and MHA courses. It also accepts a few other state/ national-level entrance exams such as WBJEE, PGET,  UGC NET  (including JRF)/ CSIR NET for admission to UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes.

Candidates can visit the official website and fill out the application form. Appear for the entrance exam mentioned above and wait for the merit list to get released. Lastly, shortlisted candidates will be eligible for counselling.

MAKAUT offers safe and healthy environment for the students. The university provides modern amenities with state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students and is spread over an area of 40 acres of land at Haringhata, District Nadia, provided by the Government of West Bengal. The facilities provided by the university include sports, library, MAKAUT WB centers, etc. The university also has hostel facilities both for boys and girls with various facilities.

The highest package recorded during MAKAUT BTech placements 2024 was 7 LPA. During the BTech placement drive 2023 and 2022, it was 8 LPA and 7.7 LPA.

Median package recorded during MAKAUT BTech and M.Tech placements 2024 was 4.5 LPA. For MBA and MPharm, it was 5 LPA and 2.5 LPA.
