As per the official website of MIT WPU Pune, the entrance exam is compulsory for admission to the MBA course. The university accepts multiple national-level entrance exams such as MAT, XAT, CMAT, MAH CET, etc., for admission to the MBA course. CAT is among the different entrance exams that are required for admission. Therefore CAT exam is not compulsory for MBA admission at MIT WPU, since the university accepts other enytrance exam as well. However, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any field which is compulsory for MBA admission.

No, direct admission to MBA course at MIT-WPU is not valid. There is no provision of direct admission at MIT-WPU . For admission to MBA, the university either accepts scores of any state or national-level entrance exams. MIT-WPU MBA is a two-year course offered through the WPU School of Business. The postgraduate course is available in 11 specialisations, including Human Resource Management, Digital Marketing, Finance, Marketing, etc. The university also provides an opportunity to pursue an MBA (Dual-specialisation) course across multiple specialisations, which is taught by the Ramcharan School of Leadership. For admission to a four-year B.Tech course at MIT-WPU , aspirants are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the university's norms. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must pass Class 12 with minimum of 50-60% aggregate. They must have studied Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Chemistry/ Technical Vocational/ Biotechnology* as optional subjects. 

For candidates belonging to differently-abled categories, backward categories and Maharashtra-state, there is a reduction of five percent. These candidates are required to obtain minimum of 45-55% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 in the same subjects as of all. 

*This subject is only required for BTech in Bioengineering course. 

Following the results announcement, Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will make available the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 cutoff. By the second week of January 2024, the outcome will be known.Prior to that, the qualifying CAT cutoffs—the minimal score requirements for admission to MBA programs—were announced by the IIMs. The CAT cutoff is different for every IIM. Shortlisted candidates for the admissions process will be those who meet the CAT 2023 cutoff. Candidates must meet the requirements set out by each IIM in order to be selected for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
