MIT-WPU Pune does not offer direct admission to its UG and PG courses. MIT-WPU course admissions for all courses are either done via MIT-WPU CET, which is conducted by the university itself. The university also accepts various state and national-level entrance exams such as PERA CET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, NEET UG, etc. Those who want to get admission to any of the UG and PG courses at MIT-WPU, must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place and then appear for the respective entrance exams. For some PG courses such as MBA and MCA, the university also accepts valid scores in personal interview rounds as part of their selection process. The final seat allotment is done based on the counselling rounds. 

For MIT-WPU BBA admissions, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 60% aggregate with English subject in any stream (at least 55% marks, in case of Backward class category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only). Else, those who have Diploma with 60% aggregate in any stream from Any UGC-approved Institution or equivalent with English as a subject can also apply. Admission to BBA at MIT-WPU is entrance-based. MIT-WPU, Pune, has released the cutoffs for all rounds and categories for admission to BE/BTech courses. According to the JEE Main cutoff 2023, BTech in Mechanical Engineering cutoff ranged from 24215 to 22220 as per the first and the last round for the General AI category students. 

The admission process for both the MBA (General) and MBA (Dual-Specialisation) courses is the same. Admission to the MIT-WPU, Pune MBA course is entrance-based. Candidates need to appear in either CAT/XAT/NMAT/MAT/GMAT/MAH CET/PERA CET entrance exam and qualify for any one exam with a valid score. MIT WPU offers courses at the UG and PG level in full-time mode for durations varying from 2 years to 5 years. Admission to the respective courses is offered on the basis of merit and entrance. No, direct admission to MBA course at MIT-WPU is not valid. There is no provision of direct admission at MIT-WPU . For admission to MBA, the university either accepts scores of any state or national-level entrance exams. CAT cutoffs are usually not announced with the CAT result. The CAT cutoffs are also not released to the public.

They are published after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs opens their shortlisting window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.
