NIT Hamirpur is considered a better choice for B.Tech than MMU Solan due to its national reputation, higher NIRF ranking, and better placement rate. However, MMU Solan is a more affordable option.

the highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest package IS 3 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA at MMU Solan B.Tech CSE 

the highest package is 7 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 and average package is 6 LPA at MMU Solan B.Tech ECE 

MMU Solan offers direct admission to some of the programmes based on their merit. Candidates seeking admission in BSc, BVoc, MSc, Diploma and value-added courses are selected based on their qualifying exam scores. The hostel fees at Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan is 24000 for male and female both have the same fee.The hostels are in the campus and not far away from the college. The students are accommodation is on 2 students and 1 room basis. Each one of is has to share or room with 1 student. Hostel rooms are neat and clean, hygiene is pretty well maintained, house keepers daily comes in the room to clean. There are 2 seater rooms.
