National Law School Admission Test 2026 ( NLSAT )

The National Law School of India, Bangalore is conducting an LLB entrance exam, NLSAT for admission to its three-year LLB course. NLSIU Bangalore is conducting the National School Law Admission Test, also known as NLSAT for admission to its 60 LLB seats. The entrance exam is being conducted at the national level in a pen-paper based test mode. The final selection process is based on the entrance test scores out of 140 marks, and personal interview scores out of 10 marks. Candidates can check here latest updates regarding NLSAT 2026 exam.

NLSAT 2026 will be held offline in pen-paper based test mode. The NLSAT 2026 exam pattern is provided by the exam authority so that candidates can prepare for the entrance exam well in advance.

NMIMS LAT is conducted in two phases once a year in online mode. Candidates who score above the cut-off marks can get admission to the 5-year integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB programme.

Candidates must note that the NLSAT Application Process is completely online. There is no such provision to fill the NLSAT Application Form in offline mode.

  1. CLAT is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs while NLSAT is conducted by NLSIU Bangalore
  2. CLAT is mainly for admissions to 5 Year LLB and LLM from top NLUs and other private universities, whereas NLSAT is for 3-Year LLB Hons. admission in NLSIU, Bangalore.

No, it is not necessary to pass in individual sections of NLSAT. 

How NLSAT Scoring Works

  • NLSAT is a composite score exam.

  • Your overall score (sum of marks across all sections) determines your rank.

Hi.

Yes, you can fill the NLSAT Application Form 2026 on your mobile phone as long as you have an internet-connected browser (like Chrome, Safari, Firefox) on it. The application process is entirely online and there is no offline form to download and submit in person or by post.

Candidates must reach out to the NLSIU to get the error corrected. If the details mentioned on your admit card are not correctyou will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

The NLSAT is conducted by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore to select candidates for 3-Year LL.B. (Hons.) programme and other courses like MPP & PhD. NLSAT is conducted once a year.

Candidates can check the merit list by visiting the NLSAT portal i.e. nls.ac.in. Since the admission process is completely online everything will be published on their portal.
