NIT Silchar offers an Executive MBA (E-MBA) programme in three specialisations. These specialisations are Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. The duration of the E-MBA at NIT Silchar is two years.
Candidates seeking E-MBA admission at NIT Silchar must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- A regular Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or 5.5 CPI/CGPA in aggregate
- A relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 in CPI/CGPA may be extended to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD category
- The candidate seeking admission to the NIT Silchar E-MBA course must have appeared for an entrance examination as decided by the admission committee of the institute

The application process for NIT Silchar admissions for its E-MBA programme includes various steps. Candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria can follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the NIT Silchar E-MBA admission process:
Step 1: Application Process
Aspirants satisfying the eligibility criteria must fill out the online application in the prescribed format only. The prescribed format can be downloaded from the Institute’s official website (www.nits.ac.in). They must also attach the required documents and the online application fee. They must send the scanned copy (PDF version) of the duly filled application form to the designated e-mail address. The subject line should be "Application for Admission in EMBA Programme". It is also mandatory to send a hard copy of the duly filled application form along with all the necessary documents.
Step 2: Selection Process
A shortlist of eligible candidates will be released on the institute's official website. Such candidates have to appear for a personal interview (usually conducted online). The final admission decision is based on the following criteria:

MTech CSE cutoff 2025 was released for the year 2025, wherein the range was from 526 to 602, according to the last and first round cutoff for the General AI category. Please note that different categories will have different cutoffs accordingly; for example, the OBC AI category, the NIT Sikkim M.Tec

NIT Sikkim considers GATE scores for admission to MTech. The GATE cutoff was between 359 and 526 for General AI category. MTech in CSE was the most competitive specialisation followed by Data Science & Engineering. The cutoff for CSE was 526 and 499 for DSE.
