The course-wise median package has been released. An improving trend was witnessed in the median package offered to BTech students over the past three years (2021 to 2023). Likewise, the M.Tech and MBA median package has also improved year-on-year. On the other hand, a fluctuating trend was observed in the MArch median package. GATE Round 6 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023, the GATE Round 6 closing rank was 637 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science & Engineering. Further, from comparing with the last two years' closing ranks, the competition has gradually increased for the current year. In the year 2021 & 2022, the last closing rank for M.Tech CSE were 753 & 653, respectively.

NIT Trichy admissions 2024 are based on GATE 2024 ranks followed by CCMT Counselling process. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech must appear for GATE in order to be eligible for further admission process.

Every year, NTA conducts the JEE Main entrance exam for the selection of eligible candidates in IIT, NIT and IIITs. The admission process for JEE Main 2026 (session 1) registrations has been completed. JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held from January 21 to 30, and session 2 will be held from April 2 to 9.  January 21 to 30.

NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT, and NIMCET. Only the candidates with a valid score in the accepted exams as per the applied course are admitted.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the NIT Trichy accepted entrance exam such as JEE Main.

Step 2: Then appear for the JEE Main exam.

Step 3: Appear for the counselling round.

Step 4: Pay the admission fee at the selected and the allotted college.

The NIT Trichy counselling 2022 process has been concluded after the release of Round 3 on the official website of DASA. For the upcoming admission session 2025, candidates are required to fill an online application form on the online admission ptal of DASA. To apply for the DASA UG counselling process, candidates can follow the step mentioned below:

• The candidates eligible for DASA counselling have to register to be able to participate in the admission process. The DASA counselling registration process is given below:
• To register, the candidate needs to enter the JEE Main 2025 application number and Date of Birth. A web link will be mailed to complete the registration process on the email ID registered with JEE Main. The application number of JEE Mains will be your username.
• In the registration form, candidates have to fill in the required details. Applicants are required to upload the following:

1. the latest passport size photograph in JPG format (size ~ 3.5cmx3.5cm, file size < 100kB).
2. Scanned signature of applicant in JPG format (file size<100 kB). 

• Submit the completed DASA application form. The submitted online registration form should be downloaded and saved for their records. However, there is no need to send the hard copy of the form and documents to the DASA office.
