The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA), famously known as NLU Assam, offers a full-time LLM programme of one-year duration. The PG-level programme is six in three specialisations. NLUJAA LLM courses include an LLM in Environmental Law, an LLM in Intellectual Property Laws and an LLM in International Law.
NLU Assam LLM admission is based on the applicant's performance in CLAT, the entrance exam conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. After appearing for the entrance exam, candidates must register for the CLAT counselling for seat allocation. Interested candidates must ensure that meet the following NLU Assam LLM eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have passed a three-year or five-year integrated LLB degree examination from a UGC-recognised university, with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category)
- Candidates must have appeared for the CLAT
NLU Assam LLM Fees 2025
The fee structure of NLU Assam courses is cumulative of multiple components, such as tuition fees, admission fees, refundable deposits, etc. The total NLUJAA LLM fee is INR 2.12 lakh. The NLU Assam LLM tuition fee is INR 55,000. Additionally, selected students must pay an admission fee of INR 10,000 and a refundable deposit of INR 30,000 at admission. NLUJAA LLM admission 2024 is done through CLAT. Candidates who qualify for CLAT are required to pay fee for their respective courses, which includes various components such as Tuition Fee, Examination Fee, Security Deposit, Hostel Charges (if applicable), etc. Other than the LLM fee, candidates are required to pay a fee for CLAT application fee.
