Waste of money if you are looking for a placement.
Placements: No companies come to the college for placement after completing their degree. the students themselves have to find jobs. There are no placements as the boys prepare for defence exams, and at the end of the degree, there are only a few boys. The rest are girls who aim to become teachers or are here just to pass the time.
Infrastructure: No hostel is offered in college, and the parking space is also poor. College infrastructure is average, and the indoor washrooms are clean, but the outer ones are sometimes dirty, and some students also smoke in the outer washrooms. There is no canteen, and only one van comes to college with limited food options.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. Some teachers have very good teaching techniques, but some teachers only read the text and do not explain it properly. They are like reading PDFs. Most of the teachers are nice. The semester exams are easy to pass.

I am currently enjoying my life in GMCH, Chandigarh.
Placements: 90% of students get placements. It is a professional course, so we get admission through entrance exams. There is a fixed salary set by the government itself. There is a mandatory 6-month internship for everyone. The starting role offered is nursing officer, and students are taught everything here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are shabby and need improvement. We're provided with air-conditioned rooms, drinking water, smart boards, labs, practical mannequins, apparatus, etc. I am not a hosteller, so I do not know about hostels. There is a library as well, which provides us with all sorts of books.
Faculty: Some faculty members are amazing. The new teachers are still getting accustomed.
Other: Various events are organised throughout the year. There is an annual event called Pulsatio, where students join in to make this fest successful. There are sports events as well, where students from all courses participate together and compete.

Good for research and studies, but average for jobs and internships.
Placements: At PGGC 11, around 40–50% of B.Sc. Computer Science students who look for jobs get placed. The average package ranges from 3.1–5 LPA, and it can go up to 10 LPA. Companies like TCS and Wipro regularly hire students. Around half of the batch also gets internships in local companies as software trainees.
Infrastructure: College has labs, classrooms, and a library, but there is no Wi-Fi. I am a day scholar, so I do not know much about hostels. But I have heard they are decent and affordable. Canteen and sports facilities are also available. I do not know much about the medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are good and polite. The teaching quality is quite good as they adapt technology according to changing times. However, the course is mostly theory-based. Exams are moderate to tough, and the passing percentage in each subject is 40%.

Decent infrastructure, faculty, and facilities.
Placements: In my course, I have not seen any of my batchmates or my seniors who have got placements at any of the companies from my college. We are just made to do summer training in the subject of our department for curriculum purposes. Otherwise, there are no placements.
Infrastructure: They have made the Wi-Fi available for college students recently, which is still, despite that, not strong enough for the bare minimum internet usage to gain or access study materials for college studies. The internet in college is literally of no use.
Faculty: The faculty and curriculum of my college are decent. Some are excellent in their method of teaching, and the rest are decent. Not interactive at all and very hard to understand the concept from them, despite asking them again and again.
Other: I chose my course just as a side degree because I wanted to do something else. Nothing is better about my course. No proper equipment facilities and no proper management at all.

My college feels average to me.
Placements: I am studying B.Sc. Chemistry. There are 24 students in the department. It is a government college, so most students receive financial support through scholarships. Company placements are not discussed. IMAT is the final stage of the course, so internships are conducted during this period. The top roles offered include food safety department roles, forensic science, chemist positions, etc.
Infrastructure: As I am studying B.Sc. Chemistry, we need labs, which are only about 50% okay, with limited equipment. Wi-Fi is available only on the ground floor. The classrooms are spacious, but the library is poor, as it is usually closed even though it is a single room. Food availability is good. Currently, there is no hostel facility, and medical facilities are poor. Sports and games are also not very engaged in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. As I reach the final year, it is a good quality education. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exam is not too difficult. 90% pass is going on, but from the other department, they are having low percentage passes.
Other: I chose it because I love the subject, because I love to be in labs, and do all the stuff about Chemistry. I think the base that I lost during the corona period, I need to improve my education during those times. Several events are held, but the campus surroundings are poor.

Satisfied with faculty members but not by placement cell.
Placements: In our batch, no one got placed. Yet college has a placement cell but it has not seen any activity by them in the past three years. Don't know much about seniors but in my course and in my batch, no company comes for placement, not even the local companies.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is above average. Since it is 105 years old college, some departments are not so good but the newly built departments are nice. Library is big, and reading room is also very comfortable. Most classrooms have smart classes.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive, well-qualified, and experienced. They always try to complete the syllabus before exams. But the course B.Sc. non M.Ed is not that much relevant because in this course more you get is theoretical knowledge and less practical knowledge. I would recommend to document diploma instead of B.Sc non medical.
