B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics - Batch of 2022

It is a very nice experience studying at Panjab University.
Placements: There are no placements in this course. It would rather help you to build your curriculum activities but there are fewer chances of placements. They will give you career counseling and tell you what you should do after college and in life.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is good. I am a day scholar so I don't know about the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members at our university are nice. You will get to learn more about the science and things that are going around you. It will be an interesting course. Exams of this course are a little bit hard. You have to prepare from the beginning if you want to score well.

Overall, the experience is good. Campus life is great, and you get to learn many things.
Placements: Placements are offered mainly by education institutes like Aakash, and internship opportunities are also offered for students. Most of the students opt for a master's course in mathematics. Around 7-8 students of our class cleared IIT JAM and secured admission in IITs.
Infrastructure: The department has a great infrastructure, including labs that help students with everything related to their course. The hostel is great to live in, and it is also affordable. The annual charge for the hostel is only around Rs. 12,000-13,000, and food prices are very reasonable.
Faculty: The 1st semester is comparatively easy, and the 2nd semester gives you an idea of the course. The course is great for students who want to make their career in theoretical mathematics and are planning to do research work, i.e., PhD later on.

Infrastructure, teachers, hostel food and life here are good.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements. It is just a college to complete the degree and enjoy your life. Engineering is not available in our college. But teachers in every field are very good and are ready to help you whenever you ask. It is an interesting college with good faculty members, infrastructure and everything.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. There are different labs for different subjects. Classrooms are also good, but the Wi-Fi facility is not available. The library facility is very good. There are two libraries with a perfect environment. The canteen is not that good, but the hostel food is better.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best in our college. They are highly qualified and always available to help. Everyone has extremely good knowledge of their field. Students are given an opportunity to participate in many extracurricular activities.

The life of a PUian is best with all sorts of facilities which should be provided to built a person.
Placements: The placement offered by the campus is 100% as they said. They provide maximum number of placements. They take care of each and every student that they are placed or not. As they promised they also made 100% students placements. The highest package they provide is 47 Lacs and the lowest they provide is 7 Lacs. They provide maximum companies interaction. Many companies visited our campus and also took maximum number of students for jobs. They also provide internships for the students which helps alot to the students. Yes there is a placement cell in our campus. Which give their 100% so that students can be placed in good companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is best. The university crowd, classes, library which is available for the students 24 x 7. The books are in large number with multiple copies for each books. The campus is fully Wi-Fi. They also take care of one's health. The medical facilities are always available. They also take care for the students extra activities providing all sorts or games and sports. The food provided by the campus is tasty and healthy. They also took care of the pocket of the students, providing reasonable prices for the items. No, I don't face any infrastructure issues.
Faculty: The faculty provided to us are good and have good knowledge regarding their subjects. The teachers are very friendly and always keen to solve students problems. The methods used by the teachers to deliver lectures are either oral and also use projectors to make the class interesting. The ratio between the teachers and the students is good. We also get industry exposures which helps is understanding our courses easily. They took many industrial trips. Yes, the course curriculum is useful.
Other: The university not only take care for the students curriculum but also to the extra-curriculum too. They conduct events, fest as a break for the students or to fresh up our minds. The crowd is also managed. They also provide scholarships for the students. The campus bring new and innovative ways to make healthy relationship among students. Over all the campus is itself lives its own life, where one lives happily and in healthy environment.

Regional centre for advanced study in mathematics so must be high level department.
Placements: As there are no placements for B.Sc students, there is only some sort of placements for M.Sc. students but not on a large scale, hardly 3-4. Mainly computer-related companies come and hire. Every year placement fest is organised, and from this year onwards centralised placement cell got activated.
Infrastructure: Regarding infrastructure, it is at its best. Fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, well-furnished classrooms and AC labs are available. There are two libraries, one is central, and one is a regional library for each department. There is free medical supervision along with all tests and medicines at free of cost. There is ground for almost every game including a swimming pool.
Faculty: All teachers are PhD holders in their respective fields. They are well educated, and some are with great experience. Regarding the curriculum, it is well-balanced. Generally 40:1 is the ratio of students to teachers. The tutorials are also in every week, but there is no industry exposure or educational trips in the mathematics department, but there are other a lot of fests and events.

Punjab University is the best campus in Chandigarh.
Placements: There are good placements for my batch. My senior batch students are mostly eligible for many jobs as 60% of the students got placed. They earn a salary for their work, but the highest salary offered by companies is about 5 LPA, the lowest was 2 LPA, and the average was 3.5 LPA. Most of the companies visit my campus. Around, 45% of the students got the internship from the campus. There is a placement cell for the students to get the placement offers.
Infrastructure: The best facilities are available on my campus for the students. The whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. There are all the labs, which are good for the students to prepare practicals. For indoor and outdoor games, there are good grounds available. My campus has a big canteen. The hostel rooms are good.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They give good knowledge to the students for their future and his interested subjects. All of them are good at teaching and the working criteria. All the faculty members are active and smart.
Other: The campus provides us with the scholarships. The very un-crowd place.

Dissatisfied. The college was not up to the mark.
Placements: There were no placements for our batch or our seniors. Some students were placed through off-campus placements. Nothing was done on behalf of the department. Internships were not offered to the students either.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi facility was not available at that time. The classrooms were not up to the mark. Benches were broken. The department does not have canteen facility. However, centralized canteen student centre was accessible, and quality of food was good. Sometimes proper classrooms were not available for some lectures.
Faculty: The faculty was biased and are not very helpful. They were qualified but didn't impart knowledge to the students adequately. Teaching methods were poor. They used their notes to teach. No new books were referred and syllabus taught in the class was not available in new edition books of the same topic. The curriculum was not useful, not even for UGC net.

At last I would like to say it's a very good University to take admission in .
Placements: The rate of placement in our college is average, the package offered here range between 8-14 LPA, the highest package offered was of 33 LPA off campus from our college but acc to me the placement of an individual not only depends on the college but also on the efforts and hardwork of student as well one should score a good CGPA so that he or she could sit in the interviews of most of the reputated companies that comes to the college and it will definetly help them .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is not as good like other private colleges and is not as well maintained like others but still we can say that for us it's a good one and as we all know that it was made very earlier so as the time have passed the infrastructure is becoming old but, also new items are being introduce in our college like new labs are under construction as well, and also new .
Faculty: The semester exams are not as tough and are of moderate level the pass percentage is also good in our college, but some students who never takes exams seriously, often suffer, with re, and year back and that's a very bad thing in each and every branch 1,2 students are mostly there those are facing this problem. Only because they are not serious towards their studies and this thing also ACT as a setback at the time of placements because a many companies doesn't allows those students to sit in their interviews those have got re appear .
