It is a good and well-known college in north India.

Placements: Some major companies visit the campus for placements. Usually, the placements for B.Com are high in this college. Tech Mahindra and many other companies visit the college for placements. Placements in medical and science streams are very few.

Infrastructure: Labs, canteen and washrooms are well-maintained as the student council is elected every year. The quality of every work is getting good every year. Wi-Fi facility is available in hostels. The campus is not much huge, but it is open and good. Vending machines are there for women.

Faculty: Teachers and mentors are all good and helpful. The college provides good labs and good material for studies. Many college fests which are popular in the area, are organised by the committee itself. The crowd is high. The college is famous for everything in the city. The fee structure is not too high.

The best college of tricity.

Placements: I haven't completed my degree yet. But as for my seniors. Most of them started some start ups and they are doing good. And some have opted for Masters in our college only. As for the placements I know one or two students who have been placed in very big companies with good packages too. And some seniors have flied to abroad for their further studies.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is no doubt very good. The classes are awesome. And the labs both wet lab and dry labs are very nice and greatly equipped. There is a nice sitting area in canteen and a large ground where we sit in winters for a good sunlight? The best part is our auditorium, its the best audit in Chandigarh. Over all college building is so beautiful and we enjoy it.

Faculty: All our department's teachers are so kind and helpful. They are like friends to us. Their ways of teaching and interacting with us students is too good. All the practical work we do they guide us so patiently and make sure we understand everything. We have 1 teacher for 25 students that makes the students interact more with the teacher.

Other: Their are lots and lots event happening in our college time to time. We have a cultural week called virasat that happens every year in february. And there are so many clubs for extracurricular activities. And ofcourse our college has won the overall trophy in Panjab University Youth Festival three times a row.

Good faculty and bad facility at a high price .

Placements: The placement is nearly 90%. The highest salary was around 1 lakhs for the ones who were selected as college professors and the lowest was Rs. 40,000 per month for contracts and stuff. Roles offered were teachers, professors, bioinformaticians and lab assistants, etc. About 50% got an internship from the college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is as per the requirements. The whole campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The labs are fully equipped with the instruments. Various sports and games program are organized throughout the year. Good quality food is available in the hostel's mess and canteen. Sometimes there is an issue regarding power backup in the hostel of the university. Hostel rooms are allocated to every two students.

Faculty: The teachers of my college were highly qualified and cooperative. Professors help the student in every step of the courses. Modern teaching methods are used like projectors and computers as well as whiteboards and high-end lab equipment like PCR, Laminar air flow etc. There were sufficient teachers for teaching students properly in every subject and teachers from other department were called to teach as well. The course curriculum was tiring and much time was wasted on the not needed classes and practicals. Even Saturday was working but still, it would take all the days to work out the syllabus.

Hi Kajal, Admission in Goswami Ganesh Dutta S.D. College - B.Sc. (Hons.) in Bioinformatics is merit based only. So, wait for the cutoffs to see if you can get admission there. 85% is a pretty decent course so you will get admission there easily I guess. Though, all the best!
