Pondicherry University offers a wide range of Integrated PG, postgraduate, Diploma and doctoral programmes in the field of Management, Engineering, Science and Arts, among others. All these courses are offered via the 57 departments under it. Admission to a majority of integrated PG and PG courses at Pondicherry University is subject to CUET UG and CUET PG exams. • BBA and BCom are offered at the UG level. The course duration of both programmes is three years. Candidates who have done Class 12 can apply for these programmes. The final selection of students is based on the HSC scores.
• Apart from the UG programmes, the University offers three PG programmes under distance education. MCom, MA and MBA are offered with a course duration of two years. A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream to be eligible for these programmes. The final selection of students will be based on the graduation scores.

Pondicherry Central University accepts CUET PG scores for admission to a list of postgraduate courses. Pondicherry University has released the CUET PG merit list for several postgraduate courses. As per Pondicherry University first merit list 2023, the cutoff score for an MA in Human Rights and Inclusive Policy course was 116 for the General All India category students. In 2022, the cutoff score stood at 167 for the MA in Human Rights and Inclusive Policy programme. Yes, there are 22 hostels present on the university campus. 14 are for boys and 8 for girls.  The rooms are on a sharing basis, with two to four students in one room. Hostel rooms have basic facilities, such as beds, chairs, and cupboards, and contain a dining hall, a library, a games room, and a laundry room for the residents.  Hostel accommodation is only on a first-come, first-served basis and is reserved for students coming from distant places, and for those who are pursuing certain courses, such as medicine and engineering, etc. 

 

 

 

Pondicherry University offers admission to the MD courses on the basis of valid MD PG scores, followed by the NEET PG counselling process. The expected cutoff ranks and marks for Pondicherry University NEET PG medical branches based on previous ranks is as follows for R1 for the General category:

Merit scholarships and merit-cum-means scholarships are available for deserving students of PG programmes, namely MSc/ MA and integrated five-year integrated programmes.

Yes, Pondicherry University offers a BSc programme with various courses spread across its affiliated colleges. The main campus of the university offers five-year MSc integrated courses for students wanting to pursue PG-integrated courses. Moreover, students seeking admission in regular three-year BSc courses can do so by applying at Pondicherry University’s affiliated colleges.

MCA admissions at Pondicherry University were based on a university-level entrance exam until 2021. However, starting 2022, the university started accepting students via the CUET PG entrance exam. Those who appear and qualify the exam are allotted a seat for the three-year MCA at the Pondicherry University campus and affiliated colleges via university-level counselling. The tuition fee for MBA at Pondicherry University is between INR 24,930 and INR 2.4 lakh. Students should also pay a registration fee of INR 300 while filling the application form. Pondicherry University offers BAMS course based on AYUSH Exam. As per the Pondicherry University cutoff 2024, the BAMS cutoff for stood at 97758. National Testing Agency re-commenced CUET 2026 registration on February 23, 2026. Soon after the release of the CUET notification, candidates can check the important dates about CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration was February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM).

Candidates were required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2026 application process is in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.

In general, the admission process begins in March every year. For the admission session 2025-26, the application process started with the registration process of CUET on the official website of NTA. The university accepts CUET-UG for admission to its PG-integrated courses. To appear for the same, students must have completed their Class 12 with relevant subjects. Additionally, for some courses, candidates are also required to fill out the application form by visiting the university official website.

Any candidate who has done bachelors' in the relevant stream can apply for the MA programme of Pondicherry University. However, the final selection of students is based on the scores obtained in the CUET PG entrance test conducted by NTA. After the exam, the students are required to register on the official website of the university and appear for the counselling process. After this, those with their names available in the merit lists released by the University can confirm their admission or block their seats by paying the admission fee.
