For UG course, Presidency University, Kolkata has PUBDET and for PG courses, it has PUMDET. Since, the university is adhered to the entrance exam scores, there are no any other medium to get admission apart from this.
For admission to the Presidency University, Kolkata , WBJEEB is conducted and PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG are considered for getting into this college. However, from the academic batch of 2021-22, WBJEEB has cancelled both these exams and admission will strictly be based on merit scores obtained by the students at the undergraduate level and Class 12 for PG and UG admission, respectively
PUBDET application form will be available soon at the official website of the exam. However, for the previous academic session, PUBDET application form was released on January 3, 2023 and closed on January 31, 2023. After successfully registering, candidates can fill the application form by entering information such as personal details such as domicile, category, PwD status, home district, family income status, religion, nationality etc. Academic qualifications of Class 10 and Class 12 details also need to be filled in.
The Application Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI only. Application fees for PUBDET-2025 is INR 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for one paper and INR 250 for each additional paper, plus the Bank’s Service Charges, if applicable. Presidency University Kolkata released its provisional general merit list for UG admission on August 27. This was followed by the release of first provisional merit list for admission, based on which students will be able to confirm their seats. The university currently offers UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in the field of Arts and Science. For admission to the University, WBJEEB conducted PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG admission. However, from the academic batch of 2021-22, WBJEEB has cancelled both these exams and admission will strictly be based on merit scores obtained by the students at the undergraduate level and Class 12 for PG and UG admission, respectively.
One cannot get admission with 60% in class 12th for admission one requires 70% or equivalent marks in class 12th.
