Good faculty, really good infrastructure, best campus life.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college, but it's not active on the level it should be. Very few of the students get placed, with the majority from Geology, Economics, and Statistics Departments. Internships are there on a more regular basis. A large number of students get internships from various companies such as Wipro and TCS.
Infrastructure: The Department of Mathematics is one of the best departments in the University, both from the academic and infrastructural side. We have a central AC system. There are 3 new generation computer labs. There are two smart lecture theatres for various seminars and classes. Each batch has separate classrooms. High-speed Wi-Fi is provided throughout the campus. There is a separate seminar library in the department with all necessary books and materials. Other than that, there is a Central Library of the University with an abundance of books and also an Arts library for those who love literature.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, more than qualified, and knowledgeable. Most professors have done their Ph.D. and post-doctorate from foreign universities. The teaching quality is very good, with each professor solving any problems when required. The course curriculum is designed in a way that students get a good knowledge of whether they want to pursue research or even if they want to go into applied fields. It also makes the students ready for various competitive exams. Semester exams are a bit difficult to make the students ready for the future, but consistent study makes it easy.
Other: If you want a good campus life along with studies, you need to choose Presidency. It is one of the best colleges in Asia. There are hostels for both girls and boys.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: Around 2-3 students got placed in our course. Our college is good compared to other colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Classrooms are well-cleaned. They are equipped with air-conditioners and Wi-Fi. The library has books. The hostel is good. The infrastructure of the hostel is good. The mess facility is not much good. Dean does not give the salary of the mess staff members.
Faculty: Our professors are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant to pure mathematics. It is not for applied mathematics. This course provides good knowledge. It doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I opted for this course because I liked mathematics and I wanted to know about mathematics. Events and fests are held in our college. Our college crowd is good compared to other colleges. Our college is situated in central Kolkata. Our college connectivity is good. They provide high courses like M.Sc., Ph.D., M.Tech, etc.

My college life very helpful hostel facilities and food facilities and other facilities .
Placements: Almost 60% of the students in our course got placed. The average salary package offered was 2 LPA. Top recruiting company of our college was BigBazar. Financial roles were offered in the course. The highest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Almost 40% of the students got internships from the course in Big Bazar and other companies.
Infrastructure: There were good classrooms and library. But Wi-Fi facility was not provided by the college. Hostel facilities were not available. The quality of the food served was good. Medical facilities were not provided. The college had a sports organisation for every 2 years for two days.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very experienced, supportive and friendly. They clarify the doubts at any time. They don't make students mug up things. In fact, they make classes very interesting. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Other: I chose this course because it has a scope in the future. This course provides a decent job which is a very important part of our life.

Absolutely satisfied with this college, really good infrastructure & faculty members.
Placements: Honestly speaking there is no placements for BA/B.Sc Hons students. But in Statistics & Economics department there are placements cell. Although placement is not so good. But if you want to do higher studies then this is the best place for you. Many students from this college (university) pursuing their integrated Ph.D/ M.Sc. from institutes like TIFR, IITs, IISC, IISER etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good. Actually you can say BEST. There are AC in all classrooms & also well furnished. Labs are really highly equipped. Many kind of advanced research is going on. Library is very big. There are sufficient books for all students. Wi-Fi is also there. Hostel is average. In one room there are 5-7 people & per month rent is only 90/-. So its value for money. There 3 canteens in the campus. Also there is big ground for sports. Indoor Games facility is also there.
Faculty: Faculty members are really Good. They are highly qualified & knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. Students & Teachers bonding is really good. Faculty members are really helpful. Anytime you can go for doubt. Many students from our department pursuing the highest studies from TIFR/IITS/IISC/IISER etc.
Other: Since childhood I love mathematics & that is the only reason I choose to pursue B.Sc. in Mathematics from this very prestigious college. There are lots of event going on all the time. There are Ispat aabahon, Miliue, FilmFest, Basanto Utsav, Icon etc.

It is a great college with good faculty and facilities.
Placements: In 2018, many companies like Infosys, Mahindra, TCS, etc., visited our campus for placements. More than 70% of the students got placed in 2018. The average salary offered was Rs. 35,000 to 40,000 per month. A lot of students were offered the roles of clerk and accountant.
Infrastructure: There are two hostels in our college. The hostel fee was around Rs. 1,500 to 2,000. Labs and classrooms are awesome. Our physics lab is the best compared to other universities. Free wi-fi facility is available in our college. The canteen is awesome. College life is very entertaining. They also maintain a record of our strength and weakness.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The campus has a good and attractive environment for teaching. Presidency University offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses for science and arts streams. Regular classes are held. The advanced teaching method is used and very useful for every student.

Good University, advance syllabus, faculties are professional, nice infrastructure, no placement.
Placements: No campusing facility will be provided by the department. But if anybody wants to achieve something he/she needs to work on their own. The syllabus is much good, but you should do self-study. There are a certain number of students who get admission to eminent institutes like TIFR, IIT, CMI, ISI, IISC, IMSC, etc. but they cracked the exams with their own hard work, not with the help of the university.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fair enough provided by the department. Well designed and centralized air-conditioned classrooms, Wi-Fi facility, advanced computer lab, central library and seminar library are there and are also updated regularly. There are 3 canteens and the price of food is much affordable. Sports facilities-football/cricket ground, basketball court, table tennis, badminton court is all there.
Faculty: The course curriculum is really well planned and much advanced as compared to other institutes. The faculty who guide are good but you expect more from them. They are much professional in nature until 2018 there are only 6 permanent faculty members available in the mathematics department (all of them are assistant professors) and most of the syllabus was covered by external faculty members. So, those external faculty members are available only on that particular day of class (two in one week), thus you cannot discuss with them about your problem out of the usual class periods. But now the number has been enhanced and there are 15 permanent faculty members. And the above-mentioned problem is much solved now.
Other: Certain number of events and outreach activities are organised by the university and department. The surrounding and campus environment are much soothing. There is a football ground, basketball court, table tennis room. Many seminar, open lecture by eminent personalities and professors, quiz competition, etc.

Overall the college is okay, but there are no placements.
Placements: Unfortunately, the college doesn't provide any good placements after graduation. Most of our seniors are doing M.Sc. or integrated PhD. I don't know there is any placement cell or not, but if there exists any placement cell, it is inactive. We apply for internships on our own.
Infrastructure: Our college has a newly inaugurated mathematics department on the top floor of Baker's building. So we have a modern type of classrooms and computer labs. The Wi-Fi facility is available at our campus, but the signal strength is not that good. However, it is quite accessible. After closing the Promod Da's canteen and Presidency Cafe, we are not getting satisfactory quality and quantity of food. After 3 years of the renovation of the hostel, students can get a desirable hostel now.
Faculty: The college has some extremely qualified teachers, and they are helpful. They are always available to help us with our studies. The quality of teaching is also good except for one or two teachers. Many professors are recruited after 2018. We have a total of 12 professors now, so in future, students have more options to discuss their doubts. The syllabus of mathematics (Hons.) is advanced which will help you in masters or PhD.
Other: Every department has its own freshers party at the very beginning of every odd semester. Mile and Ispat are two college fests conducted in the college.

A deteriorating college where one should not get enrolled, especially in mathematics department.
Placements: There are no placements offered by the college. At least not in our department as long as I have been at university. I've heard that there are placements provided but haven't seen any. Hopefully, when the authority and faculty feel that the university needs to do something about students, they might start providing placements then.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in the college are really good with all the latest technology and books. There are no latest books after the year 2012, and the access to technology is often cumbersome. We somehow manage with the college Wi-Fi. The college needs to buy books and provide access to technology.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly non-cooperative and insulting with high voices. They are pretty mean, and I will never recommend anyone to join for maths major here. I've been a student here, and none of the teachers has ever guided me. They only cater to exceptional students who needn't be catered at all. You can be insulted in the class if you've different opinions too, which I've been. You should always have an apple-polishing nature if you really intend to pass.
Other: There are no extracurricular activities allowed for maths students as the department doesn't take it in a good manner. They often make it an excuse for melting out their anger against students. Fests are conducted every year, and other departments students participate in co-curricular activities.
