SMVDU B.A. Courses & Fees

Candidates who get admission to the five-year integrated BA Hons plus MA programme must pay the SMVDU BA Hons fees 2024 for the entire dutaion of the course. The fee includes various components such as tuition fees, hostel fees and one-time admission fees. The detailed bifurcation of the fees is mentioned below: 

SMVDU BA Hons Admission Dates 2024 have not been announced by the institute yet. However,  SMVDU BA Hons deadline for filling out the application forms have been elapsed for the academic year 2024. The last date to fill out the admission form was Apr 25, 2024. However, the deadline to fill out the application form may be extended as per the decision of the University. 

Candidates seeking admission to the BA Hons programme must meet the minimum SMVDU BA Hons eligibility criteria set up by the University. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate from a recognised Board can take admission to the SMVDU BA Hons course. 

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a full-time BA Hons programme in different specialisations. The programme is being offered across various durations. BA Hons at SMVDU duration ranges from three-year to four-year (including research) and the institute also offers a five-year integrated BA plus MA programme as well at the undergraduate level. 

SMVDU BA Hons application forms 2024 were released by the University on Mar 26, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to the programme could have applied within a month. SMVDU BA Hons deadline for applying to the programme has now been elapsed for the academic year 2024. However, if candidates wish to apply for the academic year 2025, then the application forms are expected to be out in the month of March next year.

SMVDU conducts application process in two-phases. For Phase 1, the last date of closing of application forms for BTech / BArch / MSc/ MA courses is in May.  For BTech/BArch/BA/BSc/BBA, the opening date of application forms for Phase 2 are available estimately after 15 days of the declaration of results. 

First of all, candidates don't have option to avail any course via there home state quota. The SMVDU cutoff 2025 has been released for the candidates belonging to All India quota. During the SMDVU JEE Main cutoff 2025, the required rank to get into the BTech courses at institute should range between 64782 and 91814 for the General AI quota, so, candidaes applying with General AI quota can surely get admission at 30000 rank.

After signing up, access your account and complete the online application.
Pay the application cost. The MBA program's application fee is INR 1000. Pay for it by demand draft or online.
submit the necessary paperwork.

Include the following paperwork with your application:
1. All prior examination mark papers.
2. Certification of graduation.
3. Score report from an accepted management admission exam, such as the CAT, MAT, or CMAT.
Enter the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) room. Based on how well they performed on the management entrance test, the shortlisted applicants would be invited to GDPI.
Pay the final entrance fee to reserve your seat if you are admitted.

Yes, you can join Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University without MAT. If you had appeared in CAT or CMAT exam then you are eligible for merit based admission process for MBA program. If you had not appeared in above mentioned exams then you will have to give entrance exam conducted by University named SMVDUEE ( Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Entrance Exam). After qualifying the above exams you will be called up for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Aspirants who wish to take admission to the BA Hons programme offered by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University must appear for an entrance examination. The University accepts the scores of CUET UG conducted by the NTA. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BA Hons course admission. It is just the minimum eligibility criteria.
