The MAT 2026 PBT mode registration deadline for admission to the MBA course has passed. For the PBT mode, the exam will be held on May 31, 2026. Further, for the CBT mode, the registration window is open till Jun 8, 2026, for the exam scheduled for Jun 14, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The IIT JAM 2026 first admission list has been announced for admission to the MSc course. Students have to pay the seat booking fee by May 30, 2026. Also, the window to opt for either an opening or closing withdrawal option will be open from Jun 3, 2026, to Jul 3, 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 exam for admission to several UG courses will now be held on May 31, 2026 and on Jun 6 and Jun 7, 2026.
- The CAT 2026 registration is expected to start in the Aug, 2026 for admission to the MBA course.
- The CMAT 2026 result has been declared for admission to the MBA/PGDM/MMS courses. Students can download their scorecards by logging into the official website.
- The CUET PG results are declared for admission to various PG-level courses. The counselling is conducted separately by each participating institution.
- The GATE CCMT 2026 counselling registration for admission to the MTech course is ongoing, with the last date for the same being Jun 5, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 2 result has been announced on the official website for admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses.
- The GATE CCMN 2026 counselling registrations have started for admission to the MSc course. The deadline for the same is Jun 5, 2026.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Highlights 2025
SMVDU was established in 1999. The university was established under the Act of the J&K Legislature. This is a residential university.It is approved by UGC under Section 2(F) & Section 12(B) of UGC Act of 1956.
SMVDU has over 20 collaborations and houses one college of Nursing (SMVD College of Nursing), four faculties, consisting of 15 Schools. It offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated and PhD programmes in the field of Engineering, Science, Management, Philosophy and other subjects of contemporary importance, with all technical courses recognised by AICTE, CIC and COA. Admissions to the University is granted on both entrance and merit-basis followed by SMVDU Direct Counselling respective to the course.

During SMVDU cutoff 2023, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 94017, for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 227213, for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering was 402493, for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 657668 and for B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering was 505053 for the General category All India seat. The SMVDU 2024 cutoffs for Courses have been released for BTech, Integrated BTech, and BArch admissions. In Round 4, JoSAA cutoffs spanned from the 58592 to the 92789 values. Among these, the B.Tech. in CSE stands out as a fiercely competitive option for General category students under the AI Quota.
In a comparison of the SMVDU cutoff in 2024 with that of the preceding two years, it’s observed that SMVDU has experienced a fluctuating pattern in its closing ranks.
Candidates are advised to refer to the table below to view the branch-wise cutoff of SMVDU for 2024, compared with the cutoffs for 2023 and 2022.
