SHUATS offers various courses in the field of Agriculture, such as BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Horticulture, and more. In each of these courses, twenty-five percent (25%) of the total seats are filled through all India entrance tests conducted by ICAR. Moreover, these seats are inclusive of Christian and general candidates.
For applying for BTech at SHUATS Allahabad one must have completed 12th from CBSE or UP board with atleat 50% marks for general category and 45% for reserved category.
After satisfying this criteria, students have to qualify the SHIATS entrance exam. Which completely merit based.
For few courses like agricultural, food technology and dairy specialisation BTech, there is another entrance called SOET (SHUATS online entrance exam)

SHUATS conducts an online entrance test (SOET) for the selection of students to a few of the BSc courses. The 2025 schedule for the exam has not been released yet. SHUATS admissions for BSc (Hons) in Agriculture, BSSc (Hons) in Horticulture, and BSc (Hons) Forestry are subject to a valid score in the SHUATS Online Entrance Test (SOET), followed by the offline counselling process.
For all the remaining BSc and BSc (Hons) courses, admission is subject to an online counselling process. In this process, seats are allocated based on merit in the last qualifying examination.
