SRM University conducts SRM JEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Also, direct admission is not valid either. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and M.Tech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam. 

To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a preparation strategy to ace the exam. 

SRM Institute of Science and Technology or SRM IST (formerly known as SRM University Chennai) was established in 1985 and is located in Kattankulathur, Chennai. Moreover, the one-time fee range between INR 1,200 and INR 11,000 and the hostel charges range between INR 1.45 Lacs and INR 3.3 lakh.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance tests. The admission for the flagship programs are held on the basis of SRMJEEE UG exam. Further, SRM MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of SRMJEEM test. The SRMJEEE PG test is conducted for the various SRMIST PG courses. The university also accepts scoring from nationally-held tests like CAT, TANCET, MAT, etc. for admissions.

As per the latest report 2024, over 980 recruiters participated during SRM placements 2024 till July 17, 2024. The top recruiters of SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2024 included Microsoft, Google, Amazon, HCL, IBM, TCS, etc. These recruiters placed students in various domains with handsome packages.

The highest and average package offered during SRM Institute of Science and Technology placements in 2024 stood at INR 52 LPA and INR 7.19 LPA, respectively. Further, over 980 companies visited the campus for placements and provided over 5,546 offers to the students of the batch 2024 till July 27, 2024.

Yes, candidates can get admission to BTech without JEE Main score. Admission to BTech course is only based on SRMJEEE score. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate as per the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants must qualify for SRM JEE exam with a valid score. No, SRM IST does not accept CUET score for admission to any of its UG & PG courses. The university conducts its in-house entrance exam for BTech and MTech, i.e., SRM JEE. Further, for admission to MBA course, the university accepts scores of national-level entrance exams such as GMAT, CAT, MAT, TANCE, etc. SRM University also offers direct admission to courses such as BA, MSc, etc., based on the merit of last qualifying exams of previous education.
