It's good with a lot of opportunities, but you need to grab them yourself. Nobody will babysit you.

Placements: Out of 1100 students from my course, the maximum number of students get placed. Companies like American Express and Goldman Sachs come for recruitment. The top roles are Software Analyst, and most of the tech roles are offered. The highest package is in crores, and the median is 12 LPA.

2026 Thapar University Review. Placements, life and admission.

Placements: My branch has the best placement in the whole college, from software tech roles to electronics core roles to non-tech roles that were offered. This year, 98% placement record with an average package near to 19 LPA. Placement is decently good. Our college also has a minimum cap for companies; any company offering below 7.2 LPA is not allowed in the placement season. Despite that, 500+ companies visit every year.

It is an okay college if you don't have any other options, but it's very expensive.

Placements: In my branch, around 80% of the students got placed, and the average package is around 11 to 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are from computer or electronics, and the majority of the people go for computer jobs in my branch. According to the fees of the college, the placements are not that great, but if you really work hard, you can make something of yourself and achieve a good package. The college also has a 50% quota for Punjab residents. AI branches have also been introduced, so it might...
