1. MERIT Scholarship - BE/ BTech Students
Merit Scholarships to the first-year UG students will be awarded on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Mains 2025 for the year 2025-26 with the criteria mentioned against each scholarship.

Thapar University Eligibility Criteria
- Students who have cleared all the courses prescribed for the respective programme in the year of consideration will be eligible for the scholarship.
- In case a student is upgraded through the December Test in 1st year, he/she will not be eligible for a merit scholarship in 2nd year on the basis of his/her performance in 1st year.
- In case a student is eligible for more than one scholarship/free ship, he/she shall be awarded only one scholarship/free ship as per his/her preference.

Placements: The reputation of placement of this college was one of the best among the private colleges. The average package was 8 LPA. The highest package was above 15 LPA. The main companies for recruiting were TCS, Tata Motors, Microsoft, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, etc. The roles that were offered were production engineer, design engineer, quality engineer, etc. The internship in my course was very good in the local area.
Placements: My branch has the best placement in the whole college, from software tech roles to electronics core roles to non-tech roles that were offered. This year, 98% placement record with an average package near to 19 LPA. Placement is decently good. Our college also has a minimum cap for companies; any company offering below 7.2 LPA is not allowed in the placement season. Despite that, 500+ companies visit every year.
Placements: In my branch, around 80% of the students got placed, and the average package is around 11 to 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are from computer or electronics, and the majority of the people go for computer jobs in my branch. According to the fees of the college, the placements are not that great, but if you really work hard, you can make something of yourself and achieve a good package. Placements: I am a BBA student of the recent batch. Placement opportunities in our course are moderate. Around 40 to 50 percent of students get placed through the campus placement. The highest package is around 17 LPA, and the lowest package is around 10 LPA. Around 60 to 70 percent of students got internships during my course.
Placements: From my senior batch, approximately 2,200 students got placed. The lowest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA, and the highest package offered is 42 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Brain, American Express, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley. Top roles offered are SDE, data analyst, interns, and product management. Meesho also visits here. Approximately 300 companies come here to hire students from my college.
