Candidates will require passing Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent to take admission in the BTech course at Jammu University. The admission is also to be completed on the basis of a valid JKCET score. The university provides BTech in its UIET-Kathua Campus and affiliated Colleges. Some of the best affiliated institutes which provide BTech programmes are GCET Jammu, MIET, and MBS College.

Jammu university has BTech Computer Science and Civil Engineering courses at Kathua Campus (UIET). It also has affiliated engineering colleges which offer these programmes. The entry is to be merit based as candidates have an option to select any specialisation based on the availability and type of seat.
