A journey one can choose while preparing for competitive exams.

Placements: Well, placements are not done in this course. Most students are preparing for competitive exams on their own. In Lucknow University, only few courses have placement process type thing like geology and all. But other courses don't have any placement team or processes.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Mess is good. University canteen is best place to hangout, and there are plenty of them. Library is there even department has it's own library other than the Tagore library, which is open for all the students of economics only.

Faculty: I think faculty members and curriculum are good and up-to-date. There is no exam pressure, you can chill a lot also if you want to and by choosing right electives you can definitely become more industry-ready and can get a job outside of the economics field.

Other: Well, if you are involved then definitely you can enjoy the whole atmosphere of university. Many competitives and fests do happen. There are less restrictions as compared to colleges, you can be mature and have fun on your own. Freedom is there to grab.

It was an incredible experience.

Placements: There is no placement system for this particular department, but they offer lots of other opportunities, like seminars and events, to show our talents. Guests are very prestigious and guide us in future endeavors, which shows us the path to future jobs.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available. Hostel food is always a matter of concern; other than that, you will love the environment. Not all facilities are up to the mark, but you can survive once you get used to them. Cleaning can be a serious issue, but other things are fine.

Faculty: Faculty is very supportive and provides proper guidance. It is a very positive environment, and teachers motivate you to take part in various seminars and meetings. Teaching staff is very friendly, and you can go to them for clearing doubts and guidance.

Other: It is a good college. NAAC rated it A+, and its campus is beautiful. You will love the greenery and positive ambiance.

Excellence in Teaching 2024.

Placements: 0% students placed in course, 0 LPA package offered in course, no companies are recruiting, 0 students got internship in course, and no roles offered in course. Only students have to choose this course who are preparing for UPSC or UGC NET exam and other government exams.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi available in department, library is available in department, and classroom is well managed. Fans and AC are also equipped. I have not taken hostel; case of top rankers will get hostel facility according to entrance exams which are conducted at the time of admission.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is excellent, and experienced teacher faculty are available. Semester exam is not tough if studied. The passing percentage of semester exam is overall 33% in each subject.

Other: I have chosen this course for making it optional to this subject in UPSC. It can be improved by offering internship opportunities to the students from industry or other public areas.

Overall, I had an average experience.

Placements: The college has poor placements. Few companies visit the college and offer low salary packages. Many students struggle to find jobs, and career support is lacking. The placement cell is effective, and most students end up unemployed or looking for unrelated jobs.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are average, with basic facilities, but often lack proper maintenance. Some have outdated equipment and adequate ventilation. The hostel infrastructure is decent but cramped, with limited amenities. Cleanliness and Wi-Fi can be consistent, affecting comfort.

Faculty: The course curriculum needs improvement, as it lacks industry relevance and practical exposure. Many subjects are outdated. Examination administration is poor, with frequent mismanagement, errors in question papers, and delays in results, causing frustration among students.

Review of University of Lucknow.

Placements: The placement in our course is not up to the mark but the placement rates in other courses like B.Teach is far better than ours. Their placement rate is much better and companies also comes for the placement. The average package that students get is 3 LPA - 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our courses department and hostel is fine. In the library, the books are of high quality and good authors are available. The books are available in hindi and english also the library which is beneficial for students of english medium as well as hindi medium. The quality of the food available in the mess and canteen is also good and taste is also fine in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and skilled. They have to pass the UGC NET exam to teach at the university. They are also very helpful to the students. The semester exams are of average standard. Approximately 70 - 80% of students passed exams and the rest of the students gave their back exams.

Other: I selected the masters in economics because I was interested in the economy of the country. This course helps you in better understanding of the economy of the world which is the very important aspect in today's world. This scholarship is provided to general, OBC, SC and ST students and also to the EWS students.

Honesty, no lies—that’s LU.

Placements: To be honest, I have no idea about this because, in my course, there is no placement. Because of teacher disengagement, they are not at all interested in telling you. Not even they provide internships. In the name of internships, they ask you to make files.

Infrastructure: Very old infrastructure because of the old campus, that's why everything is built in an old way. But yes, the washrooms are also dirty—only teachers' washrooms are clean. There are many libraries in the university, but as I said again, old infra. I don't know about hostel life because I am not in a hostel. Thank you.

Faculty: In my course, teachers are a little bit arrogant. And they are a little bit overconfident. They don’t treat students in a good way. They talk sometimes very badly. I have faced it once, so I know how it feels. But it's okay. They are not too supportive, although some of them are very good.

Other: Overall, the college is good, but my course is not that good.
