UPES Dehradun Courses & Fees 2026: UG, PG Courses

 UPES Dehradun offers over 72 courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels through nine schools and UPES Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). The courses are offered in multiple streams like Engineering, Management, Science, Business, etc. The university conducts its own entrance exams like UPESMET, UPESMET UG, UPESPAT, etc. for providing admission to specific courses. Apart from these, UPES Dehradun also accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CUET UG, NEET, JEE Main, etc. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for UG courses. A minimum of graduation is required for PG courses. 

Last date for UPES Dehradun BSc (Hons) applications is generally in last week of June. Students can fill the application form and apply through official website. Admission dates can change as per university guidelines. 

The university offers various scholarships. To encourage more female students to continue their learning journeys after class 12, UPES through its initiative ‘Shakti’ is creating a fast track for them from classroom to the boardroom - with exclusive scholarships for female students. Since 2020, UPES has offered ‘Shakti’ scholarship to more than 6000 female students from across India. Under the initiative, meritorious female students with more than 60% marks in class 12th are awarded scholarships of up to 30% in tuition fees.

Selection for UPES Dehradun BTech course depends on JEE Main/CUET UG scorecard. Alternatively, 50 percentile in SAT India Score and 75%-80% in Class 12. Or, you can also appear for UPESESAT which is conducted by the university. The eligibility depends on minimum marks of 50% in aggregate for Class 10 and Class 12. The subject combination is as follows: Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English in Class 12. 

UPES Dehradun offers admission to the MBA course based on XAT scores. As per the XAT 2024 cutoff, candidates having a minimum of 50 Percentile for the General category All India Quota were eligible for UPES Dehradun admissions. So you are eligible for UPES Dehradun MBA programme with a 60 XAT percentile.

MBA is one of the popular courses of UPES Dehradun. When it comes to placements, the University offers decent placements annually. The highest package offered during UPES MBA placements 2025 stood at INR 29 LPA. The top 10% UPES MBA average package offered during UPES placements 2025 stood was 15.8 LPA.

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. UPES Dehradun offers MBA in 25 specialisations under 12 core streams through the UPES School of Business. UPES Dehradun cutoff for the MBA course is based on NMAT scores. As per the last NMAT 2024 scores for admission to UPES , the minimum NMAT cutoff was 140 for the General All India Quota. Also, in 2023, the NMAT score for university was the same at 140, hence it can be concluded that there has been no change in NMAT cutoffs in last two years.

UPES Dehradun provides MBA course in various specialisations, like International Business, Operations Management, Aviation Management, Power Management, Oil and Gas Management, Business Analytics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Marketing Management through NMAT. No, you will not gain admission at UPES Dehradun with an NMAT score of 60 if you belong to the General AI category. As per the UPES Dehradun NMAT cutoff 2025, the qualifying percentile was 70. 

UPES Dehradun also accepts other exams for admission to the MBA programme and various branches, like XAT and MAT. For the XAT exam, the qualifying percentile was 50. Hence, students might get admission if they give the XAT exam.

BTech is one of the top courses of UPES Dehradun. As per NIRF 2022 rankings, the university was ranked at 61 position under 'Engineering' category. The rankings saw a jump from 91 position in 2021 and 167 position in 2020. Apart from the Engineering course, UPES Dehradun was also the part of NIRF Ranking under 'University' category.
