B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026
3.4
Decent college with good infrastructure and average placements.
Placements: I'm a student from 2022 batch and pursuing B.Tech with the specialisation of CSE. Nearly 85 percent of the students are placed in our college. The highest package is 96 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Honeywell, and MUFG. 60 percent of the students got internships at Microsoft, ADP, and Amazon. We are offered SDE-1, SDE-2, and GET roles.
Infrastructure: Coming to our university infrastructure it is very good. In classes, we can use the university Wi-Fi, every student is provided with their credentials so they use them to connect to Wi-Fi. In classrooms we have a projector for lectures. We have a big library where the capacity is around 800. The hostel facilities are also very good except food. Food quality is very low. We are available with a canteen where the food is good and it is edible. We also have a hospital on our campus. Coming to sports and games, we have 10-15 different courts.
Faculty: In our university teachers are very helpful, some of them are actually graduates from IITs and NITs. They are knowledgeable. They are available for doubts at any time. When we talk about course curriculum, it is somewhat relevant but in my opinion it is not enough to get industry-ready. We need to put in extra efforts on our side. Difficulty of semester exams are moderate to tough. The pass percentage is 40 percent of the total marks.
Other: I'm a student from 2022-26 batch. And I'm from B.Tech with specialisation in CSE. I'm really interested in learning new technologies in an evolving world so I took CSE that could help me in achieving my goals. I'm really grateful for the decision I took at that time as I could have exposed myself to tech industries. I think if there is any possibility it would be better to increase hands-on practice sessions in our course so that it would be easy for a student. Coming to events and fests every weekend we have either events, flashmobs, or rallies.

College is good, but crowded.
Placements: Almost 70 to 80 percent of student got placed in their fourth year, and around 70 percent got internships. The average is around 6 to 8 LPA, and top recruiters are Amazon, Deloitte, IBM, TCS, Infosys, and Dell. Make sure to maintain a CGPA above 9 if you want to get a good placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, VIT is good. Some of the hostel blocks are still under construction. You will get three academic blocks, the central block, AB1, and AB2. Overall Infrastructure is good. Smart classrooms and smart lab is also there. The canteen is overpriced.
Faculty: Semester exam question papers are moderate. Faculty members are well qualified, but some of them are very rude. The passing percentage is around 75%, so be sincere in class, as internal marks are in your faculty's hands. Focus on your quizzes in the classroom as they play a big role in your grade.
Other: Initially, you will find it very crowded on the campus, but with time, you will get used to it. Events are good. If you are not from Andhra Pradesh, then first look for other options.

VIT Andhra Pradesh is average, good support, strict faculty, high hostel fee, limited outing.
Placements: Around 70% of students are mostly placed this year at VIT Andhra Pradesh University. Top companies include TCS, LTI, Mindtree, HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Cisco, Amazon, etc. Top roles in CSE include web development, app development, full stack developer, software engineer, game developer, etc. The highest, as of the recent records, is 96.26 L CTC, the average is around 6 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Internship drives for our batch who are going to pass out in 2028 are going on and mostly depend on our own personal skills, and internships from the university side start after the end of the 3rd year.
Infrastructure: Various facilities are available across the campus; they include Wi-Fi all around the campus (these days the signal is too low), labs are fully equipped, classrooms have projectors and whiteboards, and the library is available in 2 blocks (AB1 and AB2). Hostels are aesthetic and good-looking, food quality is average, and all kinds of food are available in the canteen and food street. A doctor/nurse is available 24/7. Basketball, badminton, etc. A lot of games are available.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but you gotta select them wisely during FFCS. Yes, it is relevant and teaches real-world skills. Exams are moderate and highly depend on the faculty, and the class average and pass percentage will always be above 90 for an average faculty.
Other: I chose this course because of its high-paying roles and its future demand. They can make coding interesting as well as stressful. Improvements are required where code is not mugged up by the teachers, and the same should not be implemented by the students. VITopia, the cultural fest, happens every year, various club events happen every day, it's too much crowded, and the signal is really bad in a few places of the campus; don’t expect 5G. There's greenery all around, and you have to travel for 30-40 minutes to do any activity. Exceptional students from government colleges get free.

My college life at VIT Andhra Pradesh.
Placements: Almost 60 percent of students get placed up to now. The highest package is about 90 LPA+, the average is 8 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, and Swiggy visit the campus. The roles offered include SDE-1 and other technical roles related to what we study.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good, including classrooms, labs, and library. There are about 20–60 students per class depending on the course. Hostel facilities are good, but the fees are somewhat high compared to other colleges. Rooms and beds are well maintained.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful and qualified, some from IITs and foreign universities. They support students in all situations. The curriculum is industry relevant and makes students industry-ready. The difficulty of exams is moderate, and students can pass with good preparation.
Other: It is a small college still developing its infrastructure. There is a lot of crowd even with 3 big academic buildings. College life can be improved, but it is developing as it is only about 10 years old. Events are good.

VIT-Andhra Pradesh University review.
Placements: Nearly 35 to 40 percent of the students are placed every year in my course. The highest package offered in my university was 72 LPA in the previous year, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. The average package offered in my university was 7-8 LPA, and this was only for the students who got placed. The recruiting companies for my course are Microsoft, Google, Intel, Adobe, Motorq, JP Morgan, etc. The roles offered by them are software development engineer, data analyst, system analyst, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in labs are fast Wi-Fi, AC, and the only issue is that many computers will not work properly. The library in our college is very good, and all the books are available here. The infrastructure is very good. Coming to the hostels, there is no problem, but coming to the mess, there will be many varieties available, but with low hygiene. More competition for the sports will be there due to the over crowd in the campus.
Faculty: The faculty here is not that qualified and knowledgeable, but a few of them are outstanding, and overall teaching quality is good. But the curriculum here will not make the students industry-ready. The exams here are tough only in some of the slots, and the remaining are easy to moderate level, and the pass percentage may be between 75 and 80 percent.

From the recent years, to get into VIT AP for a Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) course, you need to write the entrance exam for VIT (VITEE). Candidate must obtain a rank below 60,000, to get a CSE AI Course.

You should get around 85 or more marks to get CSE at VIT Vellore and 65-70 would be more than enough to get IT Branch. The VIT cutoff rank (and marks out of 120) for CSE and IT is around Rank-840 (Marks-96.6).
