MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2028
Offered by IQ City Medical College

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
The faculty are supportive, and the learning experience is enriched by being hospital-based.
Placements: At IQ City Medical College, placements for MBBS graduates primarily involve the compulsory internship and the pursuit of further studies. Nearly all students are offered internship opportunities at the associated IQ City Medical College Hospital, which is both well-equipped and has a high patient flow. Unlike engineering colleges, there are no direct campus placements, but the degree enables students to secure government or private jobs later on. Many also prepare for NEET PG or FMGE for higher education. Some graduates also join reputable hospitals across India in junior doctor roles. Consequently, while career opportunities are strong, they are driven more by individual performance in exams rather than direct placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IQ City Medical College is modern and well-maintained. The classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and equipped with smart teaching aids. The library is large, offering a good collection of books, journals, and e-resources, along with a dedicated reading hall. The labs, museum, and dissection halls are well-equipped for practical learning, and the attached hospital provides excellent clinical exposure. The hostel facilities are satisfactory, with Wi-Fi, laundry, and 24/7 security. The mess food is average but hygienic and offers decent options. Medical facilities are readily available on campus, and the sports grounds and indoor facilities support extracurricular activities and overall student life.
Faculty: Faculty at IQ City Medical College are qualified, supportive, and approachable. Most teachers are effective at explaining concepts and promote interactive learning. The MBBS curriculum adheres strictly to NMC guidelines, and is relevant for both academic and clinical practice. The teaching methodology includes theory, practicals, bedside clinics, and AETCOM modules, which prepare students for both the industry and patient care. Exams are held according to university norms and are of a moderate difficulty, requiring consistent preparation. Internal assessments, practical, and viva contribute to the overall learning process. The pass percentage is high for diligent students, and the evaluation system is generally fair and transparent.
Other: I chose MBBS at IQ City Medical College for its strong clinical exposure, modern hospital facilities, and supportive learning environment. The greatest strength of this course is the effective balance between academics and practical training, which significantly boosts clinical confidence. The campus is well-maintained and has a positive atmosphere, with various annual fests, cultural programs, and extracurricular activities. The college also has decent connectivity to the city. However, the fee structure is on the higher side, and the mess food could be better. Overall, the college offers a conducive environment for both personal and professional growth.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2024
Offered by North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling
2.6
3Placements2Infrastructure2Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Dissatisfied with the faculty.
Placements: The percentage of students who were placed last year is low. Around 30 percent of students only got placement according to their skills. Majorly students have to find jobs themselves. No proper guidance and instruction was given by the faculty members and placement cell.
Infrastructure: The quality of the hostel is bad among other facilities of the college, had a bad experience in the hostel with no proper quality of food also. The classrooms are not too big and clean enough. But have a huge playground and court for playing and labs with old instruments and equipment.
Faculty: Teachers and staff faculty are knowledgeable and qualified but teach in their own way. But some of them were kind and helpful to students. Semester exams were easy to pass, students passed easily by studying just before the exam with a minimum passing percentage of 40 percent.

College is good for students. The teacher-student relationship is very good.
Placements: There is a 100% placement assurance. Top nursing college in West Bengal. The package for B.Sc. is 8.84 LPA. Recruitment companies are Apollo Hospital, Tata Medical camp, Manorama Hospital, BP Poddar, Spandan, Kalyani General Hospital, and Clinical Instructor posts.
Infrastructure: There was a very friendly atmosphere, and Warden Ma'am is too good. The food quality is average. Four-time food is provided. If any medical issue occurs, then you can go to the hospital. The hostel is beside the hospital, just 10 minutes away. The hospital's name is JNM, Kalyani.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they have good knowledge. If any problems occur, they are always ready to help. Lab teaching is provided. Mentors and teachers are always available for students. They are very gentle. They are always on standby for students.
Other: I chose this college because I wanted to grow my passion for helping others. All types of scholarships are available.

BHMS - Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery - Batch of 2027

4.6
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, it is the best private homoeopathic college in West Bengal.
Placements: Almost all students are now PGT trainers at the government college. All alumni seniors have cured many chronic and acute diseases with their skills, which were learned from our college. RMO, HMO, MO, and GPMO jobs are easily achieved by students. Almost 90% of students are at a standard level.
Infrastructure: All departments are available here. Now, PG will start within a few years. There is free Wi-Fi and a well-maintained library. All departments have separate labs for practicals with knowledgeable lab assistants. It has all departments like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, organon, materia medica, etc.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are well-qualified doctors as they have achieved many degrees and awards for their knowledge and qualifications. They all are very helpful and treat us like friends. The perfect example of a teacher is the ideal philosopher and guide. HODs are very expert. They all are great physicians as well as great doctors.
Other: Homoeopathy treatment is improving nowadays. From my childhood, I have been treated with homeopathic medicines for any kind of disease, and I like classical homeopathy, so I chose it as a career. It helps people who can't afford the money for surgery.

Faculty members are average and infrastructure is in progress.
Placements: Everyone who passes MBBS become a doctor. During the time of internship, they offered Rs 28,000 - Rs 31,000. Companies did not recruit MBBS students. Everyone got internships in the college hospital. Doctor was obviously the role offered to us as we were MBBS students, not engineering.
Infrastructure: We had a Wi-Fi facility, which did not work properly sometimes but we had it everywhere in the hostel building and academy building. The rooms in the hostel were average. But the food was below average, it was good only at the time of grand feast, which occurs once a month
Faculty: Teachers were good. Some were a little dull but averagely better. Course curriculum was somewhat relevant. Semester exams were very difficult than others. Passing percentage was 50% in practicals and 40% in theory. But overall you had to score 50%.
Other: I wanted to be a doctor because you get to help others, get prestige, money, etc. It provided less theory so more practical or practice was needed. Events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, extracurricular activities were top-notch.
