Shaheed Bhagat Singh College: A true gem.
Placements: Shaheed Bhagat Singh has the second largest commerce department in Delhi University for B.Com Honors others are 8 sections, continuing 60 students each (avg). In 2025, the highest package is 23 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA, and the average is around 5.5 LPA. The recruiting companies are Deloitte, D.E. Shaw, Zomato, EY, ISSC, KPMG, PWC, Accenture, etc. Around 15% to 20% of students got internships. The Top role offered in 2025 is an associate at D. E Shaw.
Infrastructure: Bhagat Singh has good infrastructure, it has its Gyan Prasar Kendra, counseling unit, medical facilities, security, AC library, girls' common room with AC, sports facility, canteen, and cafeteria section. There is one open-air auditorium, conference, and seminar rooms. They have ACs in block C classrooms, advanced computer labs, and Wi-Fi facility. The food in the canteen is so affordable and delicious. Also, the sports complex is under construction, and it will open soon.
Faculty: The faculty is so great, they are very helpful, qualified, and have great experience and knowledge. Also, their teaching style is appreciable, they know what the relevant things are to study with practical examples. The course curriculum is relevant, but there is a lack of practical exposure. A student can only be industry-ready when they have both practical and theoretical knowledge. The semester exams are not too tough if you study well, as the pass percentage is around 90%-95%.
Other: I chose this college because I want to do B.Com Honors, and after SRCC Bhagat Singh College is the largest department of commerce, and it is near my home. I wish to improve one thing, which is that the the university should focus on practical exposure and experience. Events in Bhagat Singh are not wild this year. Shadhu band performs in the annual event, the campus crowd is good and has good connectivity, and this college offers scholarship and internship programs for the students.

It has supportive faculty, an improving infrastructure, and decent placements.
Placements: I am currently in my final year of B.Com (Hons) at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. The placement experience so far has been quite encouraging. Around 70-80% of students from my course got placed with the highest package of 20 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 6-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include Deloitte, EY, ICICI Bank, and various startups. Roles like audit, financial analysis, taxation, and research are offered here.
Infrastructure: I have seen the infrastructure getting better every year. Our classrooms are quite decent with smart screens, but only in a few blocks, a good library with Wi-Fi, and computer labs. The college doesn't have a hostel, and many students stay in PGs. The canteen serves decent food at reasonable prices. There is a mini cafe outlet that is popular among college students. Basic medical facilities are available, but the ground is under construction. However, we can access it.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and engaging. As usual, some faculty and staff members are very rude towards students, which is quite manageable. Teachers are well-qualified and humble. The course curriculum is quite backward, and I feel like it can be improved. Exams are not hard, and we can prepare for them 2-3 days before exams. It is good for people who want to pursue any professional course along with a degree.
Other: I feel that they can work on events and fests as they are lagging very much in this. It can be improved. If students join this college for campus life and for any fests and events, DU life, then I would suggest that we should think about it twice before coming here. We have a promising experience at SBSC.
