MArch placement highlights of past two years are mentioned below:

The placement rate recorded during NIT Trichy MArch placements 2025 was 69%. In 2024 and 2023, the placement percentage was 100%.

MCA highest and average package recorded during NIT Trichy placements 2025 was 64.3 LPA and 13.16 LPA. Earlier, highest and lowest package offered to BTech students in 2024 was 64 LPA and 5 LPA. MTech highest and lowest package offered was 52.89 LPA and 3 LPA. MBA and MSc highest package in 2024 was 19 LPA and 52.89 LPA.

NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT, and NIMCET. Only the candidates with a valid score in the accepted exams as per the applied course are admitted.

GATE Round 6 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023, the GATE Round 6 closing rank was 637 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science & Engineering. Further, from comparing with the last two years' closing ranks, the competition has gradually increased for the current year. In the year 2021 & 2022, the last closing rank for M.Tech CSE were 753 & 653, respectively.

NIT Trichy admissions 2024 are based on GATE 2024 ranks followed by CCMT Counselling process. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech must appear for GATE in order to be eligible for further admission process. 

NIT Trichy NIRF ranking 2025 is 9th under the Engineering category,  30th under the Overall category,  33rd under the Research Institutions category, 9th under the Architecture and Planning category,  and others. In the latest rankings, the college managed to achieve a good position. 

Yes, NIT Trichy grants a wide range of scholarships as financial assistance to meritorious and various other category students. Students should fill the application form to secure the scholarship. This scholarship is available on the official website of the Institute. The decision regarding scholarships is made solely by the administration. NIT Tiruchirappalli provides scholarships like Adi-Dravidar Scholarship -Tamil, Adi-Dravidar Scholarship English SC/ST Scholarship, BC Scholarship, and others.

NIT Trichy accepts GATE entrane exam scores, followed by CCMT counselling process for admission to the M.Tech courses. NIT Trichy M.Tech cutoff 2024 has been released up to six rounds. NIT Trichy Last Round cutoff score ranged between 359 and 712. So, considering the current year closing cutoff socres for NIT Trichy,  350 is not a good score to get admission at NIT Trichy. The score one should aim to get into NIT Trichy should be 500 for ensuring maximum chances of selection.
