The admission process starts in the month of May like this year it started on May 26, 2022. The last date for submission of an application is usually fixed in the last week of June every year. This year it was June 30, 2022. The beauty of the whole process is students can choose the test slot at their convenience. Students get at least one month to book the slots from June first week to July first week. So the date of examination is also between the same duration. Students get their LPU NEST result twenty-four hours after the test.

Counselling in LPU

LPU also does counselling of the selected candidates and then they allocate seats for every selected candidate. This whole process of counselling starts just after seven days of result declaration. The eligibility criteria for the LPU NEST exam vary from course to course. For undergraduates, 10+2 is required, and the subjects at ten plus two determine which undergraduate courses you can choose. Say for example if you have opted for a BTech course then you should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects at the 10+2 level. The same goes for the postgraduate level. Subjects required to be eligible for PG courses depend on the type of post-graduate program the student chooses.

In terms of marks weightage, a candidate should have at least sixty per cent marks in 10+2. There is a relaxation of five per cent marks for candidates belonging to the northeastern part of India. The same reservation goes for people who have served in the Indian Defence Services. Their dependents would also be entitled to this reservation. Wards of Kashmiri migrants also get this benefit.
