JEE (Mains) Introduction
The Joint Entrance Examination (or JEE Mains) is conducted every year by the National
Testing Agency (NTA), which was established by the Ministry of Education, Government of
India. The college accepts admission to the first year of BE courses on the basis of a JEE Mains score card. The JEE Main exam is conducted in two sessions every year, and if a candidate appears in both sessions, then their best score will be considered. The paper consists of objective questions only and will be based on MCQ and numerical data patterns.
SLIET Entrance Test is required for B.Tech at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology. This exam is a university level exam and this year exam is already conducted if you want to wish to give this exam next year then dates will be announced in April month 2024. GATE Introduction
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (or GATE) is an all-India level exam that is conducted every year in the month of February for admission into post-graduation programmes like Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, etc. It is conducted by IISC or IIT on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Government of India. The paper consists of objective questions only and will be based on MCQ, numerical data, integer type, and multiple selection type question pattern. The questions are designed to test the concept-understanding abilities of the candidates. The exam paper has a total of 100 marks, which consists of a total of 65 questions, including 10 questions from General Aptitude.

SET Introduction
SET stands for SLIET Entrance Test, which is conducted by the college itself in various cities of India for admissions in BE and M.Tech courses against vacant seats.
Examining Method
This entrance exam is conducted in online mode through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The Scheme of Examination
The paper consists of objective-type questions comprising MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) only. In this exam, wrong answers are considered for negative marking of ¼ marks.
The Pattern of Examination for the BE Course
The question paper consists of 150 questions with a total of 150 marks for the duration of 150 minutes, and the language medium will be English only. The question paper will consist of six subjects and four sections, as shown below:
