The KIIT campus is spread across an area close to 25 sq km, which has 23 world-class campuses with a number of food courts, swimming pools, various sports complexes (indoor & outdoor), open-air theatres, auditoriums, cafeteria, gyms etc. for all-round development and growth of its students.

KIIT has an 8-storyed central library located on the campus, spread over an area of 10,000 sqm, which is open for all the students and staff members of the institute. 

The entire KIIT University is spread across an area close to 25 sq km, which has 23 world-class campuses with a number of food courts, swimming pools, various sports complexes (indoor & outdoor), open-air theatres, auditoriums, cafeteria, gyms etc. for all-round development and growth of its students. It is very easy to reach the KIIT campus from Bhubaneswar railway station & airport. The campus is around 13 km from the railway station and 16 km from the airport, and one can use auto or private cab or bus services, which are easily available outside the station and airport. All the campuses are well connected to each other and have round-the-clock transport and internet facilities. KIIT has close to 3300 CCTV cameras monitoring all parts of KIIT and its vicinity. 

There are 7 different schools located close to each other- Civil, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Technology & Biotechnology. The best part of the university is that it has students from various states and abroad, making KIIT one of the best places to pursue graduation & postgraduation. All students along with their guardians/parents are required to sign an undertaking that their ward will not indulge in any kind of ragging activities at the time of admission. Every department has its own conference halls, sports facilities, laboratories, library and open-air theatres. The university has taken responsibility to provide good-speed internet access with security by providing close to 2,600 access poles installed across the campus

The Chemical Technology branch has one of the advanced academic labs, which include the Engineering Chemistry Lab, Engineering Physics Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Heat and Mass Transfer Lab and research labs such as the Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering Lab and Materials Research Lab. 

Other Facilities at KIIT Campus

Students & staff of the university can avail of the clock medical facilities from the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), which is one of the best hospitals in Bhubaneswar. In addition to the mess attached to each hostel, there are 15 food courts located at various places on the campus specialising in cuisines from different parts of the world. Spread over an area of 29 acres, KIIT Stadium has the capability to hold day & night matches, including Ranji games. This international standard stadium has facilities for Cricket, Hockey, Kabaddi, Football, Volleyball, and all other sports. Besides this, the university also has Olympic size swimming pool, International Archery Stadium, International Chess Hall, Synthetic Tennis court, Basketball, Volleyball Courts, Judo Hall, Boxing Ring, etc. KIIT convention centre has a world-class auditorium with a huge seating capacity of around 1,600 seats, a number of conference halls and a banquet hall. The University campus has a number of swimming pools, lawn tennis courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, football grounds & health clubs. The first edition of the Khelo India University Games which is a national-level sports meet was scheduled in KIIT in the year 2020.

Guest Houses at KIIT

There are various guest houses to accommodate the parents when they are coming to visit their ward. It can be easily booked by the student on payment of a specific amount as fixed by the management. Almost all banks have their ATMs/ branches near KIIT. Other basic facilities such as a post office, police station and computerised railway ticket counter to cater for the needs of the students & faculty.

KIIT Library 

Each school has its own library on their respective campus. Also, KIIT has an 8-storyed central library located in front of campus 3, spread over an area of 10,000 sqm, where anyone from the department/ university can come and use the facilities as per their requirement. This facility is also open to all the passed-out students. Ex-students need to apply for an alumni card, which is available after the payment of thousand rupees to avail of the services. The Alumni card has its own benefits and rebates.

KIIT Classrooms

All the classrooms of the School of Engineering are fully air-conditioned and each room is equipped with projectors, a computer system, etc. and can accommodate close to 100 students.

For the first-year students, orientation programs are scheduled such that they also get an opportunity to view the entire campus by bus, accompanied by a faculty. Seminars, workshops, conferences and tech & cultural fests are held at KIIT every year where students not only enjoy but also showcase their skills and learn from their seniors & friends. 

With a focus to ensure the overall development of its students, the University has a mentoring program known as the ‘Tutor-Mentor Program’ which not only looks after academics but also on the social & emotional development of the students. Mentors provide academic support, guidance and motivation, and help them in their career growth.
