Lovely Professional University has given large space to sports grounds to meet the requirement of national and international level sports.

Front Area of the Lovely Professional University

Lovely Professional University has a lush green beautiful and unmatchable campus on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The whole campus is spread over 600 acres consisting of 57 buildings each having eight floors. Each floor on average has around 13-14 halls including classrooms and labs. Each building has spacious, neat and clean washrooms and an RO-fitted drinking water facility. If you start from the front entrance, you will find two main gates. One of the gates is used for vehicle entries and another is used for students and staff members. Moving ahead approximately 400 meters through the lush green pathway on the left-hand side one can see block one from where the present university was actually started as an institution in 2001. Adjacent to it is a campus cafeteria which is the oldest and one of the most lively places in the university. The cafeteria has all the delicious cuisines to satisfy one's taste buds, not only this but the price is also pocket friendly considering the varied financial backgrounds of the students. The huge open space in front of the campus cafeteria is also used for annual celebrations like “Sanidhya” every year in the month of December, various cultural events and celebrity programs.  

On the back side of the campus cafeteria, the university has its first auditorium named Shri Baldevraj Mittal auditorium, named after the name of the Chancellor's father Shri Baldev Raj Mittal. This auditorium building has facilities like ATM and stationery shop. In front of this building lies a huge open area used for various food kiosks, where students can enjoy their leisure time and enjoy delicious food at a reasonable cost. On the left, there is block three, where the University hospital is located and is meant for the purpose of pharmacy students. So far this whole description gives us the picture of the front part of the university but this is just the small trailer of the big picture of Lovely Professional University. Moving straight ahead one can find block 14 Mittal School of Business and on the right-hand side, is the University Mall and hotel and hospitality management block sharing the common building. 

Back Side of the Lovely Professional University

A huge sitting area has been prepared to accommodate thousands of people, especially meant for big programs like convocation and special addresses by the ministers including the highest dignitaries like the prime minister and the president of various nations. This is exactly on the right-hand side of Mittal School of Business. The whole area is covered by the shed having big helicopter blade fans to take care of the audience during summer. Solar panels have been installed on the roof of the area, which shows the sustainability concern of the university along with its core function of transforming education. This covers almost 35-40 per cent of the LPU campus and almost 60 per cent is still left. On the right side of this gigantic sitting is the girl’s hostel, and various academic blocks related to film production, journalism and fine arts, facilitated by large car parking at the back side of these blocks.  

Mittal School of Business and the sitting area mentioned above are opposite each other and separated by a road in between. Moving straight ahead from both of these locations is the admission block and chancellery adjacent to it. This part of LPU has all the Central Departments like Examination, Division of Academic Affairs, Division of Quality Assurance, Division of Human Resource, Security Department of University, Infotech and Department related to Residential Services along with the office of Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor. All these departments are mainly covered under blocks 29, 30 and 32. LPU also has a Central Postal Department from where they distribute letters and parcels to staff members. There is a large open area with benches available in front of these buildings. 

On the back side of these buildings, LPU has its central library and its second but the huge auditorium named after the mother of the Chancellor. It is named Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium, it is centrally air-conditioned and used for freshmen induction and all big events of the university. Moving ahead is the first covered swimming pool in Jalandhar (a swimming pool with a roof and covered from all the sides). It has been designed at par with international standards. LPU has given large space to sports ground to meet the requirement of national and international level sports and adjacent to it are the civil and mechanical engineering blocks and boys' hostel.
