As soon as the student enters the end semester they start worrying about their career. Students can register themselves at the VTU placement cell for various opportunities. Some of the career opportunities that students can opt for after passing out from VTU are given below:
- Students who wish to be public servants can take various government exams such as UPSC, SSC CHSL, SSC CGL, Railways, Banking (IBPS, SBI, RBI, etc.), and CDS among others. To know more about the government jobs that students can choose as their career can click here.
- Students who want to study further can apply for various university or national-level exams such as CUET PG, NEET PG, UGC NET, and many more. Students who wish to study abroad must appear for IELTS or TOEFL and submit an application for the college or university of their choice.
- VTU is one of the most prominent universities in India. It offers good placement opportunities through its Centralized Career Guidance and Placement Cell to the students. Candidates can enrol themselves and participate in the various campus placements set up by the university.
Visvesvaraya Technological University has released the third merit list for admission to its various UG and PG programs for the academic session. The university releases application forms for admission, and candidates can apply online on the official website. Admissions to the UG courses are done on the basis of scores in JEE Main, KCET, and NATA respectively.
Seats at VTU are allocated by KEA, based on the scores of the accepted exams. However, the university promotes inclusivity of students belonging to the minority categories of Karnataka. So the eligibility criteria of minimum aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree is 45% for the minority candidates belonging to Karnataka, as opposed to the minimum aggregate requirement of 50% for all the other candidates.
Yes, admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate courses at VTU is based on merit and accepted entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main, DCET, and others. Students must prepare well for the JEE Main exams. Fill out the mock Main application form timely.
