Kumaraguru is a good college for an overall experience. Enjoy college life with good opportunities.

Placements: About 70% of students got placed every year. Eligible students mostly get placed. But if you have arrears and did not opt for the campus placements, you will not get a chance to be placed in the campus interview. Top companies that recruit our students are Solitone Technologies, Delta Electronics, and more. As my college is located in Coimbatore, many companies from Coimbatore may come for the placements. There are many possibilities to get an internship. Our college faculty members provide more opportunities by giving information about the available internship offers, but it is your responsibility to grab them.

Infrastructure: Our college provides a vast green environment. There are Wi-fi facilities everywhere. Every classroom has projectors for PPT presentations. Our labs are good, but I would not say the best, i.e., mechatronics engineering. There is a central library with Wi-fi facility and library computers that students can use. There is a medical clinic present on the college campus and a free ambulance facility for transportation. My hostel life is good with well-maintained hostel buildings, Wi-fi facilities, room cleaning, laundry facilities, and gym are available. Mess food is good compared to other colleges, but it is pure vegetarian. Sports are encouraged in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and supportive if approached. There is a feedback system in our college. For every subject, every semester, there is feedback taken at the end. Students can share their thoughts on a specific faculty or a specific subject. Our semester exams are based on the course outcome, which ensures quality education. The pass percentage is 50%. Apart from the basic curriculum, our faculty members encourage us to participate in more co-curricular activities like hackathons and events at other colleges.

Other: Our college conducts many events throughout the academic year. You cannot expect more from a cultural event. There is only one big cultural event called Yugam that happens in February or March. But there will be many technical-related events happening throughout the year. For extracurricular activities, there are clubs and forums in which you can participate and enhance your college experience. Our college provides its scholarship for students who are good in academics and excel in extracurricular activities. It also provides all information about the available scholarships, from which I also benefited.

Very satisfied, very low fee collected compared to other colleges.

Placements: I am studying in my first year in Mechatronics Engineering. As my seniors said, internships are provided to almost every student. The average package is about 6LPA. Almost 80% of students are getting placed in the past years. Many multinational companies do visit our college.

Infrastructure: As I am a day scholar, I don't know much about hostels. But my friends said that food is very good and they don’t provide non-veg in our campus except eggs. There is a separate lab for every subject. Food in the canteen is good and the price is also normal.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified and dedicated to their teaching. Teachers are easy to approach and friendly with students. Two interns per semester. Two semesters per year. Exams in the college are quite difficult. The pass percentage is 50%.

It is a wonderful college with a good crowd, infrastructure, and faculty.

Placements: Core placements are decent but IT placements are good. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Around 75-80% of students get placed in the mechatronics engineering department.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are top-notch. The quality of the food is very good. The library is a very nice place to be. Labs of the mechatronics engineering department have all facilities that are needed to study the course knowing every corner of it.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified. The curriculum is very industry-oriented. There are two internal exams. The first internal exam is a bit tough but it will be easy once students get a hold of it. Semester exams will be very easy if students listen in class. Students cannot pass by studying on the last day.

Other: The Yugam is the best event in the surroundings of Coimbatore.

My second home. Kumaraguru College of Technology.

Placements: Placements were good for computer Science and information technology and average placement for Electrical, electronics and mechanical streams. Pretty decent for construction too. Average of 70% were selected but most of them are placed in service based companies.

Infrastructure: Kumaraguru College of Technology is known for its infrastructure. And it is getting better day by day. There is everything available in KCT. The duty of the student is just to explore them. Wi-Fi for all. Air conditioned library, neat and smart classrooms, best faculty members for all streams, sports and games.

Faculty: KCT has a mixture of young set of people who are well knowledgeable, qualified and also experienced set of faculty members. They use smart ways to make the student understand easily. Practical sessions, video lessons, prototypes. KCT never fails to surprise you.

This is an honest review of Kumaraguru College of Technology.

Placements: The placements of the college are very low which is the same as other colleges. Core companies don't recruit many students. About 50% of the students get placed, and others opt for higher studies. The minimum salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month and the maximum was Rs. 80,000 per month. About 100 people get internships, and the stipend ranges from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.

Infrastructure: The main block is truly awesome. The new library is huge, it has huge database, and many books are available. Lab facilities are good. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and comfortable desks. Wi-Fi is available only in the cafeteria and is slow. There is a huge playground with many sports facilities. Only vegetarian food is available. Hostels are good.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly and explain the subjects clearly. Everyone has industrial experience. The faculty also prepare slideshows. They are also planning to have choice based subjects soon. The student to teacher ratio is about 20:1. The syllabus is standard like in every other college.

Other: Yugam is a cultural event that takes place in February. Lots of events, workshops and seminars are regularly conducted. We have more than 20 clubs.

About Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Placements: The placement options provided here are so large that the students will find an enormous amount of companies in their field. The placement cell available here is too active and friendly. One can easily get placed in a company if they have sufficient skills. India's most leading product and service based companies will come to recruit on our campus.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of KCT is quite impressive. The departments and the laboratory are awesome. The infrastructure of this college has been built in such a way that there are more free space and better ambience. The trees here make the environment too calm.

Faculty: The course curriculum is quite impressive and challenging so that the students will learn much. The faculty here are student friendly. Apart from the curriculum, the students can also take part in the technical skills competitions like supra, baga, etc. The electives can be done in the foreign countries by exploring the world as well.

Placements: You get many IT based companies than any other for placements. But, I am pretty sure that more than the expected rate of students get placed during the 7th semester itself. And to review about the campus, you enjoy the most peaceful environment. The campus and hostel are enabled with Wi-Fi. And to have fun, they have also introduced OYO cycling, which is free of cost for now. And library being a major advantage, you will be given an option to renew through library app, which is available in google play store and Apple store. You will get 100% support from staff when you approach them in private.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure acts as one of the major pillars of the campus. Once you enter the campus, you can see the green campus with many trees. And the food store, and places are enabled with Wi-Fi accessibility. To spend your time, you are given cycling OYO, which is a new startup, and you will have many places to sit and spend time with your friends.

Faculty: The faculty members are really experienced, and even though some look old, they are the ones who will help you more than any young staff on the campus to improve yourself. The curriculum is framed for every year and is published on the webpage. And the books will not be provided, to develop your skills.

Other: Every year, sports events are held two times, with the duration of two weeks. And the college cultural event named Yugam is conducted, where all the colleges are invited and are held grandly.

Other: Being a proud alumni of this esteemed institution. I must say Kumaraguru College has grown to become one of the best among the top 5 colleges in Tamil Nadu. Affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore, this college offers infrastructure like no other. KCT TIFAC Core is one of the unique research centers that offer a global arena to the budding textile engineers to showcase their research and also to learn from the research papers coming from different parts of the globe. The aeronautical students enjoy the privilege of learning their concepts from the in-house aircraft bought solely for this purpose, which is parked in a separate hangar inside the campus. In terms of education affordability, this is certainly not something to compare with the likes of PSG / CIT in competition, but has its own set of pros in terms of infrastructure and campus life. The faculty is a far more experienced lot who are majorly doctorate holders having done extensive research in their respective fields which provide students with great opportunities to tap sufficient knowledge from them. They are candid and the college culture enables them to be approached as easily as any close friend. Students are given the exposure to host symposiums / cultural events every year, and also partake in a myriad of events happening anywhere in India. Baja (an off-road vehicle endurance competition conducted by SAEINDIA), is one such example where KCT has not only fared well but also has one prizes which indicates the kind of exposure the college is encouraging the students to have towards any technical / cultural event. The independently functioning Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and the Placement Cell ensure students are groomed well up the career path towards their individual professional growth before taking them on-stream with placements. Separate training / series of mock tests start right from start of pre-final year that help students understand the expectations of the corporate world and provide them with sufficient time to enhance their technical / soft skill competencies. That said, companies arrive from an extremely wide flavor of functions catering to the placement requirements of all courses. Core companies by itself are a plenty providing students with the much-needed platform to step in to the career they dream of. The college holds a record placement of 100% since past 8 years, at the least that is what I am aware of. Overall, this is a college that I may suggest, one cannot afford to not take a second thought to choose given the wide set of advantages. With a class-leading infrastructure, college-friendly culture, and record placement history, KCT deserves in every which way, its place in the top 5 for all it has in store for its students-to-be.
