Very good placements in 2020 and the best faculty.
Placements: Placement training is one of the best training. The trainers are very helpful and always there to help you. Almost 70 percent of the eligible candidates were placed. The package ranged from 3 LPA-40 LPA. The companies included both core as well as IT opportunities. Some of the recruiters are Infosys, CTS, IBM, HCL, Adobe, PayPal, Wipro, Zoho, Soliton and many more.
Infrastructure: The lab facilities are quite good. The reference books will be provided by the college's book bank itself which contains almost all the books even if it is not available there it will be there in the library where you can lend it till the end of the semester. For day scholars both breakfast and lunch is provided by the college for which you will be asked to pay with the course fee itself. The food is very tasty and hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and very helpful. The HOD as well as the teachers are very friendly and very approachable and always there to help you. The college comes under Anna University. The curriculum is good but doesn't include the latest technologies but definitely provides the base for the knowledge required to know about the latest technologies.

It provides very good infrastructure and mess food. Placement is confirmed according to eligibility.
Placements: A total of 1664 students got placed in top companies like Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, HCL, Zoho, Amazon, Paypal, etc., from the batch 2016-2020. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA, by Adobe. Faculty members and chairman of our college make sure that all the students get placed. Various placement training and mock interviews were conducted which were very useful for students.
Infrastructure: St. Joseph's College of Engineering has a wonderful, spacious greenery campus with well-equipped laboratories and an inbuilt sound system indoor auditorium. The library has access to more than 6,000 books, and with a good hostel facility. But the hostel can be more spacious with more facilities. This college is specialised in sports training. Food served in the mess is excellent.
Faculty: Teachers guide us throughout the course. Most of them are well-experienced doctorates. Teaching is also good but more practical training could be implemented. It could be more industry orientated. Overall we have good teaching and well-equipped labs and classes.
Other: I opted for this course because ECE is one of the top departments in this college which offers more placements. Apart from the studies, there are various extracurricular activities held on campus.

About St Joseph's College of Engineering by 2019 passed out ECE guy.
Placements: Basically, I am from ECE department 2019 batch. In my batch around 70 to 80 per cent of the all-clear students got placed. The highest salary package which was offered is around 5 to 6 Lacs per annum and the average salary package is around 2.5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies where CTS, INFOSYS and WIPRO which are basically IT companies and TATA communication which is our core related company. Software engineer, System engineer, Junior technical engineer are the top roles that were offered to us. Around 20 to 30 per cent of students got an internship in AAI, NOKIA etc.
Infrastructure: Air-conditioned labs, classrooms, air-conditioned Library are available for our course/dept. Wi-Fi is available only for office purpose and staffs and not for students and visitors. Even though our hostel is a 25 years old building, The quality of the hostel is quite good. Our college mess is famous for the food which they prepare. Non-veg dishes are available for lunch 5 days a week and veg dishes are available throughout the week. College canteen also offers snacks and drinks at an affordable price. Medical facilities are also good. There is a separate arena for sportspersons to train. Awards and certificates are given by the college to the winners of the sports day competition conducted by our college every year.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable and most importantly helpful. Most of the teachers in my department are doctorate holders. Teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is very much relevant since our college is affiliated to Anna University. It does make the students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because of my fascination with electronics and communication. The best thing about my course is that you can get a job in both IT as well as the core. The course curriculum could be updated a little bit to cope up with the current technologies. Symposiums, Fests are regular in our college. The scholarship is also given for the students based on the marks.

Bitter educational experience.
Placements: First of all, there won't be any holidays given for one to go for an internship. Extremely rich and influential kids have managed to do their final year projects in organizations like ISRO, etc. As far as the placement is concerned, I don't remember the numbers. But, CTS, Wipro, and Infosys does Bulk Hiring.
Infrastructure: There is one library which is not that great and useful. Also, there is a jammer in college. As far as I can remember the ethernet facilities in the lab was quite good. The college mess provides the students with decent food. There are not many medical facilities. Trust me, one will not feel like to avail the medical service because of poor personal and medical treatment. Classrooms are quite big but they don't have the right acoustics. Most of them don't have proper ventilation and fan facilities too.
Faculty: All of the teachers were qualified but only a handful were helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely, the course curriculum does not make any student industry-relevant. Only some of the teachers were technically strong, so they were able to make some sense. The rest just comes and gives notes.
Other: I chose this course as my parents wanted me to become an engineer. Many things need to be improved - complete restructuring and updating of the syllabus, include more practical papers, ensure that students have the provisions and opportunities to experiment what they have listened to or read in theory.

Join this college if you can bare strict academics and rules.
Placements: Placements were good here. Mainly reputed IT companies visit here with good offers. Do not expect more placements in core companies. Decent salary packages were offered to the students. The average salary package offered would be 3 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed would depend entirely on market demands and students talent.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi facility, and mobile phones were not allowed into the campus. There was no good mobile connectivity in and around the campus. Facilities like classrooms and the library were good. Medical facilities were also available. The only good thing about college is the food taste and variety of foods. Hostel facilities were okay.
Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable, but the teaching and curriculum would be like schools without providing an opportunity to explore our talents and learn things practically. You wouldn't get enough opportunities to showcase your interests in cultural, science and symposiums. Short courses required for the industry were taught, but it would be useful only if you have interest.
