Candidates appearing for DU JAT 2022 can check important preparation tips to obtain a good score in the entrance exam.

DU JAT preparation

DU JAT exam is expected to be conducted in the first week of August. NTA is yet to release the examination schedule and DU JAT registration window. The exam schedule has seen a shift owing to the second wave of COVID-19. With the shift in the events, candidates have more time to prepare for DU JAT 2022. The entrance exam facilitates admission to professional undergraduate programmes at DU JAT colleges. Most of the aspirants will be in the last leg of the DU JAT preparation. In addition to more time for DU JAT preparation, aspirants will not have class 12th board exams for the current session; thus, they can devote all their time for the entrance exam for BBA admission. In this article, we will share easy tips that will help DU JAT 2022 aspirants prepare efficiently for the entrance exam.

Easy Tips to crack DU JAT exam

Practice and Evaluate

You must aim to take at least 10 to 12 mocks when in the last month of the exam. With more time, candidates can take more mock tests and improve their speed as well as accuracy to take the exam. It is equally important to set reasonable targets. If you aim to take 30 mocks in one month, you are likely to lose out on quality time to evaluate your performance after each session. So, if you spend two hours solving a mock test, you should invest another two hours to assess your progress. Solving mocks and previous years’ DU JAT question paper would give you a real sense of taking the DU JAT and help you build strategies for the final day.

Keep Faith and Stay Focused

It is equally important to have faith in your abilities. Aspirants tend to get jittery in the last few days to the exam but one who keeps calm and puts in sustained efforts is likely to excel in this exam. In case, you have not touched upon an important topic out of fear or confusion, you should reach out to your peers or mentors to get it sorted. Also strive to remain focused and stay away from any kind of distraction, which may jeopardise your chances in the exam.

Revisit Fundamentals

All the sincere hard work would not be of much consequence if it is not aided with revision. You should make a list of the concepts, shortcut tricks and formulae based on important topics under the DU JAT syllabus. Objectivity, while devising a revision plan of paramount importance, you should have clear cut targets to be covered in the defined time limit. You can also prioritise your revision plan and put all your subjects in order of most to least important.

Consolidate

It is an ideal time to become better at topics you are already good at. DU JAT syllabus comprises four sections-Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General English and Business and General Awareness. If you can complete the Quant section within the stipulated time, you should aim to complete it in lesser time without compromising on accuracy. For the Reasoning section, you need to apply your critical thinking skills and should be prepared for an element of surprise in your question paper. If you are in a habit of reading newspapers and magazines, it will serve you well in both GK and English sections.

The choice of questions, the time spent on each question, time spent in revisiting the questions will play a pivotal role on your exam day. While practising mocks, candidates develop a certain approach to tackle questions over a period of time. They employ the same strategy to make quick gains on the examination day. However, it is important to have a backup strategy, just in case the examiners throw some surprises at you on the exam day.
