Q:   What questions are asked across sections in NPAT exam?
A: 

The NPAT exam consists of three sections, each section with a different set of question types. Three sections of NMIMS-NPAT exam includes Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning.

Verbal Reasoning section tests the ability to understand and interpret written material. The questions in the section are based on the following types:

  • Identify the main idea of a passage
  • Find the word meaning in context
  • Identifying relationships between ideas within a passage
  • Make inferences from a passage
  • Analyse the structure of a passage
  • MCQs gauge grammar and vocabulary

Logical Reasoning section of NPAT exam tests the ability to think logically and solve problems. The questions in this section are designed to ask the following:

Quantitative Reasoning section has questions to test the ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts. The questions in this section will ask candidates to:

Q:   What are some NPAT sample questions from Quantitative Reasoning?
A: 

NPAT questions from Quantitative Reasoning section are objective type. Candidates have to choose one correct response from four answer options. The type of questions in NPAT Quantitative Reasoning section are as follows:

  • Solve for x in the equation x + 2 = 5.
  • Convert 1/2 to a decimal.
  • What is 15% of 100?
  • What does the graph below represent?
  • A train travels 100 miles in 2 hours. What is the train's average speed?

NPAT 2023 Question Paper

The space below mentions the section wise difficulty level for NPAT 2023 exam: 

Quantitative & Numerical Ability: This section of NMAT 2023 included most of the questions on geometrical properties and calculations. Candidates also found major part of the section from data interpretation questions.

Reasoning & General Intelligence: Questions from the section were based on logical reasoning, such as blood relations, sequences, etc.

Proficiency in English Language: Candidates found major weightage for Reading Comprehensions. However, the passages provided were straightfoeward with questions designed to analyse analytical skills of a candidate.

NPAT 2022 Question Paper

NPAT question papers encountered a change in the pattern by adopting three exam attempts. Candidates were allowed to appear three times for the exam during the test window. Therefore, the weightage of NPAT questions and topics slightly changed in each shift.
