AISSMS was better than you thought.

Placements: The percentage of the students that were placed was very less. Among 60 students from VLSI last year, only 10 to 12 students got placed, who were the toppers of the college for the VLSI branch. I didn’t know the highest package but the average package was around 4 LPA, not more than that, and it could go up to 4 to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies were like DRDO and the companies of VLSI and chip manufacturing. My college didn’t offer any internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was not that big. The campus of the college was not in some kind of acres or something like that, but the college had a very big ground where one more college could fit. There was a pharmacy college, an MBA college, and a school too, and there was another college called A I S MS IOIT. The infrastructure was very decent and it could be understandable because it was in the middle of the city.

Faculty: The first-year faculty was very bad. Every teacher had an attitude and if you looked at the faces of the teachers they looked decent and like they were helpful, but they were not. They harassed students for the submissions, made them beg to submit, and students who had less attendance were harassed more. The curriculum was not relevant; it followed the SPPU pattern, which I personally felt was very outdated.

Other: I chose this course looking at the future of the semiconductor industry and specialization in VLSI technology. There were many things that could be improved, like the curriculum, and the college got autonomous now, so that was one of the things that improved.
