For this category, admissions were closed at a rank of 48450 for the BTech + MTech in Civil Engineering course. According to the last round, the top three easiest specialisations for admission apart from the aforementioned one were BTech in Production and Industrial Engineering, followed closely by BTech in Sustainable Energy Technologies and BTech in Civil Engineering, with the JEE Main cutoffs being 4789, 4717 and 4443, respectively.

For this category, the hardest course for admission in the first and last round was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the cutoff being 93. Hence, PWD AI category students would need to attain a rank of at least 93 or lower to get a seat at NIT Kurukshetra for this course.

The NIT Kurukshetra cutoff was also released for various Home State quota categories, like General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS. The seat allotment results were out for a total of 9 rounds, based on the JoSAA counselling process and then the CSAB counselling process for filling up seats at this institute. 

For the General category students belonging to the Home State quota, the overall cutoff varied between 1497 and 59385 for various engineering and BArch courses. According to the last round, the most competitive BTech + MTech course specialisation was in Computer Science and Engineering, with the cutoff being 13697. On the other hand, the least competitive BTech + MTech course branch was Civil Engineering, with a closing rank of 59385

For the OBC category students belonging to the Home State quota, the last round cutoff ranged from 5503 to 76026. For this category, the BArch course admission was closed at a rank of 5811, which is much more lenient as compared to the General HS category. 

As per the last round ranks, the most difficult course for admission was B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, with the cutoff being 5503. Students who had a rank above this can opt for courses like B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, with the last round cutoff of 6931 and 13291, respectively.

Admissions for this category were closed with the JEE Main results of 180642 for the B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Civil Engineering course. When compared to the OBC HS quota, the last round cutoff rank was the highest for this category, making admissions here much more lenient. 

For this category, the most difficult course for admission in the first round was BArch, with the cutoff being 201. In contrast, BTech CSE turned out to be the most competitive course, with the closing rank of 1600. For the ST HS category, the admissions were closed at a rank of 1341040, which is much lower as compared to the SC category under the All India quota. This means SC students who belong to the Home State quota faced less competition than the All India quota students. 

In the last round, the least and most popular engineering courses were BTech in Civil Engineering and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, with the cutoff being 1341040 and 1406, respectively. On the other hand, during the first round, when BTech CSE was still the most preferred course, B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering turned out to be the least popular, with a rank of 45519.
