The Ministry of Education releases NIRF Rankings every year to assess and rank higher education institutions across the country. NIRF ranks institutions based on parameters like Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, etc. The NIRF 2026 rankings are awaited and about to be released soon.  NIRF releases the annual rankings late in the third quarter of the calendar year. The previous year's rankings came out on September 4, 2025. Once the 2026 rankings are out, students can check the official data on NIRF India Portal

VJTI Mumbai NIRF Ranking 2025: Engineering

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) is among the oldest state-funded autonomous engineering colleges in Asia. The institute has been ranked #101-150 by the NIRF 2025 under the “Engineering” category. The institute has been ranked well because of its curriculum, infrastructure and well-qualified faculty. The NIRF Engineering rankings grade colleges based on the quality of teachers, the amount of money spent on modern engineering labs, the number of new technologies and patents the college invents.
