College is too good. We love our college.
Placements: Colleges give good placements a huge number of placements, about 80% of students are placed this year. From this botany course placements are given in top-level companies the average package is about 12 LPA, about 90% students got internship from our course.
Infrastructure: Here in all the labs and classes Wi-Fi is installed, the labs and classrooms are too good, One central library is available, there is a playground but the campus is too big, the hostel campus is separate from the main building, there is no food given, the medicinal facility is too good.
Faculty: The departmental faculty is very good they help us all the time, they are well educated and give us all. They are doctors and their teaching quality is too good. In the semester exam and college exam are too tough and every year 80% of students pass out the department, which is too good.
Other: Our college takes a very low amount of money for this course. This course is not too good for all but for many people course is good. Our campus gives us many programmes so-called baro mash, e tero parbon we all enjoy there and in this course, the svmcm scholar ship is given by the WB government.

The college is very good. We love our college.
Placements: College gives very good placement. However, fellowship is too high. The highest package of internship is approximately 20k, and the lowest is approximately 5k. Minimum 20-40% of students from our college get internships and then receive offers to join companies. Many high-level companies offer them positions.
Infrastructure: The college has only one hostel, which is located at a considerable distance from the college, but the hostel facilities are excellent. There is Wi-Fi available. Our department has 2 labs and 2 classrooms, and each department has personal Wi-Fi facilities. The canteen food is also very good.
Faculty: All teachers at our college are very helpful; they teach us very well and also encourage us to work hard. All faculty members are excellent, and their qualifications are very high. The semester exams in this college are very close, and a minimum of 80% of students pass every semester.

It is a NAAC-A grade college.
Placements: Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS and other banking sectors. The initial salary package offered was 2 LPA by TCS in 2017. Top roles offered to the students are in genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, application of that, taxonomy, phycology, Bryophyta and Pteridophyta.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and library are available. I never stayed in the library. Most of the students stay in a PG, and there are many PGs at nearby places. For food, you can have the best sandwiches near the college campus. Lab facilities are good, and practical classes are good enough.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful throughout the years. You have to be punctual for the practical class of SH ma'am.
Other: I am from the batch of 2014-2017. I have chosen this subject because I was assured to be guided by TRC sir, and he was our HOD of botany. You eventually like the subject with their guidance. For extracurricular, you can do computer courses available in Amex building, and now they are providing guidance for NET and SET exams.

Absolutely unsatisfactory campus life and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are very minimal in the college. There are almost no placements. There is no committed placement committee or placement cell. Only few students from the Science streams get placed by the placement drive of the college that too at very minimal packages.
Infrastructure: The college has no proper campus due to space constraint. The infrastructure is not good. The college campus is extremely dirty and unmaintained. The laboratories are not at all equipped with the apparatuses. Students have to share apparatuses to get the practical done. The college does not have a Wi-Fi network for the students. The infrastructure is really poor.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is pretty decent and very helpful. The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. They restrict themselves to an old pedagogy. They rarely use projectors of videos for teaching the students. Also, there is no industry exposure.

Baring a few tweaks in the infrastructure and placement, a highly recommended college.
Placements: Placements in Asutosh is poor. In my department, Infosys and TCS came for recruitment, but only for BPO sector, where I had no interest. Companies related to my field didn't come. I don't have any kind of idea about the recruitment drive in other departments.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was fairly good. Although during my batch there wasn't any kind of high end scientific instruments in the college, but recently I heard that there is being an increase in standard of instrument. Our microscopes were mostly old and classrooms were small and crampy. Library is well stocked and had a small common room in our floor.
Faculty: The course curriculumand faculty were excellent. The course we're on par to the modern times and the faculty were very highly qualified and experienced. They were very helpful and provided excellent notes throughout the year. The student to faculty ratio was high during my time, but now it has improved a lot.
Other: Asutosh had a very vibrant campus life. Being situated at the heart of south Kolkata, it has unparalleled connectivity throughout the city. The campus crowd is vibrant and fun loving. Freshers welcome and fest in our college is a go to event for all students in Kolkata.
