Review of Asutosh College.
Placements: The percentage is very low because only the merit students were selected for placements, that is 35%. The packages offered were around 5 to 3 Lacs per annum. Most of the students got internships from various institutions. There were no recruiting companies for graduates, only for post-graduates.
Infrastructure: Our department had labs and classrooms. The labs are very well-decorated, with everything required to carry out experiments. No Wi-Fi is available, but classrooms were very well-lit and spacious. A library is present, and students can borrow any book. I didn't opt for the hostel, so I have no idea about hostel facilities, but you can find mess and PGs at reasonable prices nearby.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, but only some. Others used to read books. Teaching quality is below average. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make the students ready for industry. To be ready for the industry, you need to do an internship.
Other: Our batch had about 50 students, and all of them graduated. The teaching quality should be improved. There are various events that take place, and you can show your skills.

It is good for knowledge, but not for placements. Infrastructure and facilities are average.
Placements: It's just a self-financed course, so, nothing extra, like other subjects of honours. It is a normal honours subject, and placements are not available. If you are ready to gain lots of knowledge and increase your ability, then it's good enough not for the job. If you get a job, that's also not satisfying you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good, but the availability of the teacher is not sufficient. It's a good subject for knowledge. Labs are very well decorated, but space which is needed in practical that's not good enough. Some important machines are very limited. Teachers are not providing machines to use for the students. The space in the lab is very less, so it's risky to control the crowd in the lab. But all types of machine are available, but not enough in number. They also provide library facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are good enough and helpful but not in good counts. There are very limited teachers in this course. However, they arranged many guest professors, which is better for the students. Teachers are very helpful and provide lots of knowledge which is essential.
Other: Lots of events are conducted. Poster making and the project were submitted in the programme. The inter-college quiz was held regularly.

Journey of being a graduate- Asutosh College.
Placements: The campus was big and airy with several subjects to be pursued. Campus interviews by Wipro and Infosys took place. The placement interview gave the students an idea to appear for the interview. The salary offered by Infosys to me was 2.5 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were big and airy. The college and departmental libraries both gave access to all the books required for our curriculum. The labs were equipped with modern technologies and instruments for experiments. We were allowed to do experiments for better exposure of the subject.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful. The curriculum touched upon various fields like Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry apart form General and Clinical Biochemistry. Zoology and Mathematics were the electives. The subject also touched upon immunology, molecular biology, cell biology and genetics.
Other: The campus crowd was authentic.

Best Cclege for vagabonds, lovers and politics seekers.
Placements: There are no placements at all. They always motivate us to do M.Sc and then Job. But no seniors or juniors till date had got any placement from that college. No companies visited the college. No one offered us or others any job. There are no internships also. No companies gave any notice.
Infrastructure: The college has nice infrastructure. We were very satisfied with all the facilities we had, but I think there should be students lift. We had to climb a five-storeyed building every day and we should have AC in our classes. The rooms were very hot and intolerable during summer, whereas teachers and staff room had AC.
Faculty: The faculty are also very nice. The course is very tough. The syllabus pattern was very up to date, and useful, but teachers are very conservative as they were not frank at all. They don't help us also. Except sometimes by order of the HOD. Some teachers helped us, but some teachers never help. They had ego problems.

A bit dissatisfied with the environment here.
Placements: None of us received any placement. They did not even advertise anything about placements. If we consider the global market, then pharma companies like Wipro and Sun Pharma recruited us as freshers, lab assistants, etc. From our batch, nobody got an internship.
Infrastructure: We had Wi-Fi on our floor. Our labs, classrooms, and library were well equipped. The hostel facilities were good enough. The food in the mess and canteen was average. There were good sports and games facilities. Many students even went for national-level matches and won medals. But the medical facilities were of average quality.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified and helpful. The teaching quality was not very good, but not bad either. Sometimes teachers were present but did not take classes. The course was relevant, more towards research and, to some extent, industry-oriented. The difficulty level was moderate. The pass percentage was about 80%.
Other: I chose this course because I was fascinated by studying bodily functions at the molecular level. The course gave me that exposure. The campus environment should have been improved. Overall, everything was above average.

Good faculty, study early to avoid compartment exams, focus only on studies
Placements: Most of the students, after their bachelor’s degree, go for a master’s degree. If you are really very hardworking and have a curious mind and the thirst for knowledge, then professors are really good for you. You won’t be served everything on a platter and have to work very hard for it. The scope of this course is immense, including data analysts, forensics, biomedical scientists, and many other important roles. There are many impactful and interesting seminars, and you really need to seek internships.
Infrastructure: The department and the professors are very good, but I personally feel that lab infrastructure could be improved quite a bit. Classrooms are air-conditioned with projectors fitted. We also have Wi-Fi. You will get all the important academic books that you need for your course in the library.
Faculty: The teachers are all qualified and knowledgeable in their own fields and are also very supportive. They encourage you in every possible way they can and never hesitate to clear your doubts. Semester exams are pretty tough, so start studying early. Many face problems because they leave everything for the eleventh hour. Try avoiding backlogs and stay updated.
