B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry - Batch of 2027

The best college in all aspects. I would recommend joining this college to students to learn things.
Placements: I am pursuing my B.Sc. in Chemistry Honors from ARSD College, which is located in Delhi near Dhaula Kuan. Last year, approximately 76 out of 100 students got placements at our college. The company visits our college to provide jobs to students, and the average package is around Rs. 40,000.
Infrastructure: Our college provides many facilities to students, such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and clean drinking water. The Wi-Fi speed is moderate, not very high, but students use it for their studies. The food provided is also good because it offers healthy meals three times a day.
Faculty: Teachers are good, especially since it is a government college. Whenever exams are conducted, examiners come to check if the seating arrangements are proper and to ensure students do not cheat with papers or smartphones. They perform their duties properly.
Other: Our college fest is also held in seasons like February to March. Many celebrities come to our college to perform their performance.

ARSD in few pics and reality.
Placements: Chemistry placements are very rare and no data as such is available for internships and other package-related things. For commerce, the placement cell works well. The internships are not relevant to our course. This is in particular for chemistry. I didn't collect data for other departments.
Infrastructure: Labs are overall good but many types of equipment are not available. Few are in working conditions for specific instruments like pH meters. There is no hostel available for any course. The spectroscopy instruments are also not available. The canteen is okay and the Nescafe is a nice place. Mother dairy is there too. Wi-Fi is very poor.
Faculty: Teachers were good and helpful. A few teachers like Prashant sir were very keen with their work and good too. The course structure is good overall combining the required modules. Passing is easy if you study and attend classes. Notes are provided in class and I would say the best thing about the college is the library that has a wide variety of books. We do have e library.
Other: Chemistry is the best course for research-related future as it is multidisciplinary.

The worst Facilities are provided.
Placements: Best package is provided to the students. Big opportunities like getting a lecturer position in some coaching institutes. Top recruiting companies such as Unacademy, Byju's, or Brainly. As per my expectations, the average package will be 5 Lacs per annum. Also, best roles are provided in this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities are not good enough because sometimes there is a lack of clean water in the mess, so we have to purchase the bottle. But some facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are well maintained. There are no sports activities provided to the students.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and experienced, with a good sense of humor. The teaching quality is great and with good examples. This makes the students industry-ready. The semesters are easy to tackle, and most of the students pass. The passing percentage is 66.

Review of Delhi University.
Placements: Placement has been done for the Commerce batch. Some students were placed, and some service-based marketing companies visited. Students have also done internships off campus.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for my department were very good. However, the infrastructure of the college as a whole was very poor. There were no hostels available, so all students had to live in rented hostels or PGs. Fortunately, sports and game facilities were available.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching skills were very attractive and awesome. The course curriculum was very helpful. The semester exams were moderate level, and the pass percentage was 65%.
Other: I chose Chemistry (Hons) at Delhi University for my postgraduate studies. I found the course to be very interesting, and the best thing was the opportunity to participate in research projects. Delhi University also organized a lot of events and festivals throughout the year, which made for a very enjoyable campus life.

Arsd college Nirf 6th Rank in 2023.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college which deals with the placements and I observed that many students got internships last year. Most of the companies offer internships to the students. I guess the average package offered in the placements was 4 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good to my expectations. The library is also nice. There are 2 seminar rooms in the college. As I'm a Chemistry student, the labs are quite good and there are 3 labs for the Chemistry department. Wi-Fi availability in the college premises is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good more than expected, and all are helpful. The teaching way is outstanding. Semester exams are not too difficult if you start studying 1 month before the exam, then you can get high marks but you can also pass exams by studying 1 week or a few days before the exam. Chemistry Practical teaches students how Chemistry work in real life from the written relations in the book.
Other: I prefer Chemistry over other subjects because of my interest. There are practicals of Chemistry, where you do out of the box things. You can do the things which you studied in the books till now.

Really good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: The placement cell of my college is very active. They conducts placement fair twice every year, in which more than 200 companies offer jobs to students. In Chemistry Hons, the average salary students get from placement drives is 4 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Zomato, Airtel, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college campus is very beautiful; everything looks perfect. There is good Wi-Fi availability in every corner of the campus. We have good, clean classrooms with projectors. We have a good environment-friendly library with good seating space and connectivity and we also have sepa space for the library. The labs are in very good condition, with more than 5 helping labstaff in each lab and all the apparatus and chemical availability.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified; all have done Ph.D.s in their respective fields. The teaching style is quite unique, which helps students learn and understand quickly. The difficulty of semester exams gets higher with each semester or sometimes it may get easier with the course syllabus.
Other: I chose chemist (Hons) because I had a science stream in school and I have a kind of interest in the chemistry field, plus in chemistry you get the best knowledge and good placement after graduation. I wish it would be better if the course syllabus for chemistry were reduced by some percent because it might get quite hectic for students. The college host fest every year in the month of February, which is Tide, is one of the best fests held among other colleges. The campus crowd is quite decent and all are very friendly.

I'm satisfied with this college.
Placements: Placement cell of our college is very active and provides good placements to students of every course, especially B.Com (Hons). Around 50% of students get placed, and others apply for higher education or civil service exams. The recruiting companies are Wipro, KPMG, HCL, Chegg, Techcurators, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Wi-Fi works in every corner of our college. Classrooms, labs, and the library are well-ventilated and airy. Hostel is not available in our college yet, but everything is very satisfactory. Our college has a separate department for commerce that is very good and beautifully built. Canteen and Nescafe are available. The food served is affordable and tasty.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very fair, helpful, and friendly. Every teacher has done Ph.D. in their subject. They interestingly teach subjects. The course curriculum makes students ready for industry and more inclined toward research and development. Semester exams are not tough. Students can easily score very good marks by attending classes regularly and doing self-study.
Other: I chose this course because chemistry is my favorite subject and it is applicable. The best thing about our course is it's fun studying it but sometimes, it becomes a little hectic maintaining everything like theory classes, labs, assignments, manuals, etc. Some relaxation should be provided to students so that they can focus on extracurricular activities. Campus crowd, surroundings, fests, and events are good. There are various scholarship programs.

Absolutely satisfied with the facilities and faculty, dissatisfied because of the canteen.
Placements: The placements in our college are up to the mark, there are various top companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, etc. And the offers are mostly for B.Com and B.Com (H)students. Science students are offered less placements compared to the students from other streams, as most of them choose higher education options.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide a hostel, students can stay in PGs or rooms which are available in Satya Niketan, Anand Niketan. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college, the library is well-equipped with a huge collection of books. The canteen has so much to improve and the infrastructure of the classrooms aren't really upto the mark.
Faculty: The teaching curriculum is good, Chem Hons being a hectic course, classes are continuous from morning till evening. All the professors are well qualified and the practical sessions are also explained well. The semester exams in college aren't really rough, most of the students refer the previous year question papers and its really helpful to score if you are thorough with the previous papers. The pass percentage is 40% in both internals and semester examinations.
Other: I chose this course because I love the subject, and I feel that this college is suitable for getting knowledge about the subject. There are also research labs in the college and also a society ChemCrown which conducts seminars and other informative sessions related to the subject.
