Q:   Does Gargi College accept CUET score?
A:

Gargi College, affiliated with Delhi University, offers a diverse array of undergraduate programs spanning Science, Humanities, and Commerce. The ongoing admission process for these UG courses entails participation in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), a standardized examination facilitated by Delhi University. Additionally, prospective students must complete the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) application form, specifying their preferences for both course and college.

Eligibility criteria for CUET, along with the required subjects, differ depending on the chosen course. Comprehensive details regarding course-specific eligibility criteria and subject prerequisites can be accessed on the official platform. Typically, a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the 12th board examination is necessary for eligibility, though certain courses may mandate higher marks in specific subjects.

The cutoff marks for Gargi College admissions are shaped by factors such as seat availability, the number of applicants, and the level of difficulty in CUET. While previous year cutoffs provide useful reference points, it's crucial to acknowledge that current year cutoffs might diverge.

In essence, securing admission to Gargi College involves clearing the CUET exam and meeting the specific cutoff marks for the desired course. Achieving a 70% score in the class 12th examination alone may not secure admission, emphasizing the importance of a robust performance in CUET, especially for courses with more competitive cutoffs. Wishing you the best of luck in your admission journey!

Q:   What parameters influence the Gargi College BCom cutoff scores?
A:

The cutoff marks for Gargi College BCom depend on various parameters. Gargi College BCom cutoff is affected by the number of applicants, overall performance in CUET, available seats, and programme popularity. There are category-wise reservations or past trends modulating the competition at the time of admission. The other important factor would be the level of difficulty involved in CUET. It differs in total marks, thereby changing cutoff values. So, these variables can guide aspirant candidates who are about to appear for the admissions process.

Canteen is not good, infrastructure is not big, there is no AC and no Wi-Fi. Overall, dissatisfied.
Placements: I do not see companies coming for student placements. Teachers are not supportive. The internship rate is zero percent. I do not know any roles offered by my course. From the placement and internship point of view, it is very disappointing because both are at 0%. All in all, it is bad.
Infrastructure: It is average, not too good. There is no Wi-Fi facility in the college, and the network area is poor. There are no proper facilities. The food tastes bad, and the canteen is not good. The cafeteria is expensive. Nescafe is very costly for daily use and doesn’t taste good. All in all, it is average.
Faculty: Teachers are not very friendly, they are strict. Though teachers are qualified, some of them have poor teaching quality. This course feels uncertain, and if it doesn’t bear fruit in the future, it will be disappointing. Exams are of moderate to difficult level.
Other: Events are below average, and fests are just okay, not too good.

College Life Struggles and Experiences
Placements: The students are highly placed in the placement drive. The top companies basically create an interactive session during the drive in which they select students. The highest package was 23 LPA by the top company. The roles depend on the course and the department that the students are aiming to select.
Infrastructure: We don't have a hostel on our college campus; students usually take PGs if they are not living with their parents and are coming from another state. The course and the infrastructure are highly organized. The laboratories are well-maintained, and the equipment is in good working condition.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and highly qualified; they have all completed their research work and PhD level studies. The course curriculum is relevant, and all the subjects are useful for our future goals. The semester exam level is moderate, and the pass percentage is almost full in our college.
Other: I have a keen interest in studying microbes, which is the reason I selected this course. The fests usually happen in the months of March or February. The connectivity is good, and there are societies and clubs in college that increase the engagement of the students in campus life.

It has a bad campus, but good departments.
Placements: I think most people from my course pursue a master's rather than getting a placement. So can't comment on this. But people from other courses do get placed, I think. Our placement cell keeps posting internship opportunities from EY, etc. I do not know placements of other courses.
Infrastructure: The college campus is small. Washroom conditions are abysmal. There is no Wi-Fi on campus as far as I know. The food is nice. The library doesn't let us bring our own books from outside. Microbiology classes happen in labs rather than classrooms. The college has 3,000 students, but it has way more students.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, and some don't know how to teach. Semester exams are quite easy in my opinion, with direct questions and very basic. The course itself is really fun and covers microbiology properly. One of the few good teachers in this department is retiring next year.
Other: The college administration should be less strict, and we have little to no freedom to organise anything. The infrastructure and bathrooms should be improved. Societies are nice. The crowd is very dull for some reason.

College campus life as a microbiology student .
Placements: The percentage of the students placed is around 95%. The package for microbiology in companies like CIPLA ranges from moderate to high. Around 80 percent of the students were placed as microbiologists from my course. Therefore, Gargi college placements are high as compared to the private colleges.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connectivity, classrooms, as well as the laboratories, are well structured, and all the equipment is present as required. The faculty members are very understanding and cooperative too, managers with the students understanding level and pace.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified with a Ph.D. degree and research work too. They have done much work in the field of microbiology. The course is relevant for the students, and all the subjects are very useful and important to study too. The semester examination level ranges from moderate to tough. The pass percentage of my class is almost 99 percent.
Other: I'm very interested in the field of microbiology, and it gives me all the understanding that I crave, basically.

Absolutely satisfied but renovation should take place in the college.
Placements: Moreover, for our course, I don't think that college plays a role in placement but you can get placement from commerce and arts background, they have a high chance to get placement from the college, and even the science students can get the placement if they know their (commerce)fields.
Infrastructure: We don't have any lecture room, our department has three labs only, so at least one LT should be allowed to us. Washrooms are not in great condition. In summer the water purifier becomes slow because of excessive loads, so more purifiers should be installed.
Faculty: Faculty members are very qualified and experienced. They are strict and straightforward forward tell you to study hard whereas they are just like others. The course curriculum is relevant and it's easy to grasp. The semester examination is not that tough, but for a good CGPA, one should give full time to it.

For any course you just need to calculate your top 4 subject percentage. like assume if you are a PCM student then you need to add the best 4 scores and divide them by 400 and multiply it by 100 let us assume if you have these scores 87+91+67+85=330 Divide it by 400 and multiply by 100 (330/400)x
