Praveen Kumar Giri Wins Silver in Water Technology for India at World Skills Competition 2022

December 21, 2022: At the World Skills Competition 2022, which was held in Stuttgart, Praveen Kumar Giri, a mechanical engineering BTech final year student from C.V. Raman Global University in Odisha, earned the silver medal for India in the category of water technology.

Between September 7 and November 26, 2022, 52 skill events will be contested over a period of 12 weeks in 15 nations and regions. Aswastha Narayana won the first-ever Gold medal in Water technology for India in the most recent world skill competition in Kazan. Water technology is one of the most cutting-edge talents today, requiring knowledge of Mechatronics, Mechanical, Chemical, IT, and Electrical Engineering. One of the best universities in India.

Placements: About 90% of students get placed from university. The highest package offered in our college is 20 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Texas Instruments, Mitsubishi, Intel, HCLTech, and Qualcomm.

Great exposure to core engineering with balanced campus life.

Placements: Placements for our batch are quite solid. Around 85% of students are getting placed. The highest package is 12 LPA. The lowest is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 5.5 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and Accenture visit our campus. They offer roles ranging from Software Engineer and Data Analyst to System Associate. On top of that, roughly 60% of us land internships through companies like Wipro and opportunities via Internshala.

Medium infrastructure, supportive faculty, practical learning, and decent placement opportunities.

Placements: Around 60% of students get placed from my course. The highest package is 9.1 LPA. The lowest is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Top companies are TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. Tata, Cognizant, & Bosch are also recruiters. 50–60 percent of students get internships at companies like Tata, TCS, Wipro, and Bosch. Supportive faculty, good placement and infrastructure, and overall good value for money.

Placements: 98% of students are placed from my branch. The highest package is 18 LPA. Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and many other companies like Voltas and other core companies are also there. Almost all of the students got internships at BSNL in my branch.

Value-for-money college that provides a self-learning mindset.

Placements: Most students from core branches get placed. Multiple students choose further higher studies. In placements, multiple companies provide jobs as per their requirements. There are many companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, Voltas, etc., that come to conduct campus placement exams. These help students qualify based on their skills and get a nice package.

Great campus and environment.

Placements: I'm pursuing a B.Tech in CSE at CV Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and am part of the 2024–2028 batch. Placement opportunities are fairly good, with 90% placement. Companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, PwC, and Tech Mahindra are among the top recruiters of our college.

CV Raman Global University is a private university. The university is approved by the AICTE also accredited by the NBA. The university is recognition with the Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by DSIR Govt of India.

Can I get a package of INR 10-12 LPA if I score more than 8.5 CGPA in B.Tech Computer Science Engineering in CV Raman Global University?

Placement doesn't solely depend on your academic CGPA. It is about your skills you have developed and how well it is beneficial for yhe companies. But you will have to maintain a gpa of atleast 7.5 to appear for on campus interviews of good companies.

Between Utkal University and CV Raman Global University, the former is more affordable for BBA. Since the tuition fee for Utkal University is INR 360 – 2.3 lakh. On the other hand, the fee at the CV Raman Global University is INR 3.6 lakh.
